We're getting those here in Toronto - fruit flies?

Someone said they're some kind of 'mite' brought over from Japan? Why would they be 'brought over'? To kill off something else.

They seem to collect in those moldy looking cobwebs - there seemed to be more of those this summer too.

Geesh!

Probably wasn't meant to be brought but ended up here as a 'stow away', happened a few years ago here with a shipment of bananas. The store had to be shut down because they found a dead taurantula(sp?) in the box. pretty creepy.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Probably the same way seeds come to our gardens.

Anyway, I don't see them now, so it must have been a temp thing.

The ladybugs are still around though - they were clinging to the windows today -it was really warm.

We had 28 celsius! Which is 82 fahrenheit. It was like a steam bath out there around 4 pm.

Now it's very early Tuesday morning - I just let the cat out (who was driving us nuts) and I stepped outside the door - it's so cool and breezy out there. I hope it's like that for the rest of the day.
