How are you guys doing? Ive been cruising around getting to know the forum!

We're celebrating our 1 year anniversary in our house after 17years in a condo trying to grow tomaters on the 3rd floor shady patio. prayers I plant the biggest tomatoe plant my FIL grew and alls I got were a couple golf ball size cherry tomatoes!! hee!

Did much better this year. Had to do ALOT of soil work. Im used to throwing the seeds on the ground (at my dad's house) and just watching them grow. I got NOTHING doing that this past spring, but I did notice that some volunteer Tomatoe plants germinated in the soil in the last few months. I find that encouraging and like The Chicago Cubs, Im waiting for next year!

Im studying plants that are "toxic" so bunnies and things wont eat them. Did well with 4oclocks and geraniums this year. The house had yews, boxwood that did well. My first experience with SLUGS!!! I never saw them before, I found this thing and showed my kids the CUTE LITTLE SNAIL!! bUT AFTER reading about and seeing the damage they do, I know they're evil creatures with 24,000 teeth and we smoosh them!
