I don't always have my camera on hand when I catch one of our 3 cats sleeping in a funny position, but the past 2 days they have been found in some unusual ones!

Here is Salem, sleepin on top of a box of old glasses that my dad recently gave me!


And here is Amber who woke up when I took this - she was inbetween Amy's pillows!


And last but not least... Roxie... curled in a ball in front of folded towels.

Cute. I love the way cats, dogs and kids sleep.

Amber is a beautiful Calico. I am very partial to Calico cats.......Heck, I like ANY cat.

Right now I have my bunny Two Bean Bags and our new one year old Catahoula Leopard dog puppy, Lucky. Lucky is always trying to catch squirrels or eat Two Bean Bag's feet, but he is the BEST dog I have ever had.

She moved when she heard me come into the room, but her paws were sticking straight out before she awakened.

That's so cute. My kitty likes to nest like that. Yesterday I had a pile of Jeremy's dress shirts to iron. It wasn't enough to lay on top of them. She burrowed down under a couple and only her head was poked out a little.

Here's a picture of Salem from last year on this EXACT DATE!!! WEIRD!!!
I guess it's her time to burrow and hunker down for the winter!

This is one of my favorite pictures of Amber, taken last year under Amy's blanket.
I just love how her eyes match the blanket color exactly!

That's darling!

My kitty is about 8 years old I think. Her name is Tweety. About 4 years ago I was a mess because someone had stolen my kitty Pinky. A lady had had Tweety and another cat for years and moved and couldn't keep them. Both had been spayed and declawed. She told the people at the pound if they couldn't find a home for them together to go ahead and put them to sleep. They were getting ready to because they didn't think anyone would take 2 grown cats. Jeremy snatched them up for us. Tweety stayed under the bed for about a year. The other cat Sugar was a little more affectionate. Jeremy was leaving going to work and found Sugar in the road. Someone had run over her. When we buried Sugar we took Tweety there to show her so she would understand where Sugar had gone. Jeremy was holding her. As soon as she saw Sugar she just buried her head down under his arm and started making the most pitiful noises. It broke her heart. After that she almost immediately turned into a big lap cat. She goes everywhere I go and wants to sleep on me. I love her so much. Anyone that goes to the pound for an animal should definitely look into the grown ones. They don't get adopted as easily as the babies, but they make just as wonderful pets.

Here is another picture of her. She is absolutely rotten! And all about getting comfy.

What a story! Thank you for taking both, and for being so wonderful with Tweety when Sugar died.

Thank you. I love my baby. I've had her about the same amount of time the lady before had her. I couldn't imagine how she could get rid of them. There is no way I could part with Tweety. The cats were so inseperable that we thought it was important for Tweety to understand what had happened. We were afraid she would grieve herself to death. They slept in a ball together and even cleaned each other. I know it was hard for her.

Great Kitty pics! My cats all start to nest under covers & between pillows at this time of year too. You have to be careful where you sit down if theres an afghan tossed on a chair!

Don called me into our room this time, to show me where Amber was all snuggled into!



Can't wait to bring our son's 2 cats here again on Monday - they will be with us for 2 weeks this time. I'm sure Oliver will have some great poses for me to capture!

I wish I could get a picture of Tweety on my lap when I'm on the computer. I set here on the couch with the laptop on my lap and she'll come up and lay down half way in my lap and half way on the computer with her paws stretched out on the keyboard. She'll just lay there and watch what I'm doing on the computer. Sometimes she tries to swat the cursor!
