I'm getting a little frustrated with all my house plants. I have a wide variety and they all have the same problem. They are nice healthy plants with new growth but they have brown spots on the leaves or tips of the leaves. I think this is because of the dry winters we have here in canada but I'm not sure what I can do about it. I try misting the plants once in awhile. What else can I do or is there a different problem? Are there other plants like the African Voilet that should not get there leaves wet at all?

I'd be greatful for any imput.

is there flouride in your water? what about chloramine??

both will brown the tips of your plants. and chloramine does not dissipate the way chlorine does.

I agree Shirley thanks Bill, I've bookmarked that site too, no matter how many years you have been working with plants, something can come up and you need good advice.

karenenns, hope you can use this page as well.
