I am new here and it looks like a place where I am going to spend a lot of time.

I do have a question, and that is: last year I started a lot of flowers from seed and used a hotbox to get them going, here in mn I start them inside and then moved them to the outside box, my question is-- this year I planted seeds I saved from my last years plants (impatients and giant maragolds), will these flower?? or were they (more than likley) hybreds and not flower, THANK You Den

They WILL flower given the proper conditions (enough water, sun, nutrients) If the parents plants (the plants your seeds came from) were hybrids, they might not breed true to colour. Hybrids may give or not give seeds (being sterile) depending on the plant, seeds from hybrids will grow into plants none the less

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant. Mary Ann LaPensee
