My cannas have solid green leaves an bugs make holes. Japanese beetles.

Nice prayer plant cindy.
I use to own that one.

I'll have to get a picture of my new cannas tomorrow Dodge - they are very variegated with red/green leaves, and are also supposed to bloom orange flowers.

Hey...I got one "I.D." thing right on here about 5 years ago.
Remember when Meg posted a picture of a bird with a red breast that she needed identified...
...and I said it was a Robin? lol bow

You didn't do too badly, Cindy. It does have similar markings. And most of us do not think of cannas as houseplants.

I have mine in the basement in winter.. I like yours better.

I would have to store the tubers inside in winter - but the ones I had from Jimmy did not make it this year - so sad too - they grew well and very tall.

You had to mention Japanese beetles!!! YES I do get them badly on the cannas, and I saw my first one on the screen door of the sliding doors to the kitchen today!

Thats what I hate . J beetles are on so many of my flowers.
This year something is chewing Lilys .. never did that before.
