Recently I got my hands on a LOT of old carpet. It is all in good shape and didn't have pets or any cemical stuff on it.
Someone told me that it would be good to put down in my garden to keep weeds down and moisture in. Should I really try this? Or just go at it the old fashioned way and weed as I go?
Where I am going to put my garden is old pasture land and will probably get really weedy.
I don't have the money to get straw to put down, and we don't read the newspaper, so we don't have any of that either. Any other suffestions?

The carpeting should work very well to help keep weeds down. Go for it!
