This is a photo from last fall, so the plants are past their prime, but it gives you a good idea. This stuff attracts bees

oops, sorry, cut myself off. There are usually 15+ bees around this plant. It has seed pods that pop when you press them, a green coil pops out and spreads the seeds. This is growing everywhere now, including under my porch and in full gravel!! It's very pretty, but I could count 100's of these popping up everywhere. I have the pics at www.picturetrail.com/sharwoodAlbum: New Stuff, fast load. I'm a newbie, hope I've done this properly. THis plant is so invasive I'm a little worried. Thanks, Sharon

I thought it was a good plant cuz of it's helping the bees. If it's good, well okay, but if I've introduced a hazard... I don't remember where I bought this.
Thanks for your image tip, I was trying to figure it out and failed. Added my picturetrail site instead.

Thank you for your quick responses! You were close, and by following Touch Me Not Balsam, which is yellow flowers, I found the name... Himalayan Balsam (Impatiens glandulifera), and it is listed as one of the TOP TEN invasive plants marked for containment and removal. It says adjoining property owners can take civil action. Wow. I thought there was reason to be nervous! And here I was "sharon appleseed", spreading seedsto help the bees, never mind the fun of exploding those pods! At least it is a very obvious plant, easy to spot and control here. Will be plucking sprouts today, lol. Thanks again.
