Yesterday I went to the beach in Connecticut, where my cousin now lives. It's only about a 5 minute drive from her house - SWEET! It was the perfect beach weather - clear very blue sky, a bit of a breeze so as not to be too hot, and temps in the high 70's. Since school is still in session, it was not crowded at all - ahhhhh!

Here's the view when we got up by the small concession area when we first arrived.

Just LOOK at that blue sky - so relaxing!!! I told Lisa that if I lived that close I would be there at least a few times a week, if not every day. She is one very busy lady, so I don't know how often I will get to go, but I will jump at the chance when she invites!

Might be going back to this beach on Sunday!!! My other cousin's daughter is flying in from Florida, and wants to see the family, and it looks like they are gathering up in Conn. with possibly going to the beach! Wouldn't that be nice?!?

yes it would be really nice!,, just makes me double Jealous,, No beach near me at all and we are expecting triple digits towards the end of the week and weekend, .

Thanks Diane. We are also getting that heat wave - tomorrow is supposed to be 97 with a heat index into the 100's. This rollercoaster weather we are having is for the birds! This past weekend I had goose bumps from being so cold! Wore sweatshirts both days. And now this heat and humidity. BAH HUMBUG!

Yea, possibly another beach trip...awesome.....
