As I recall you were pretty much always up at 4am..... neener
I'd finally go to bed at 2 and get up at 4 to go to the bathroom and Mr. Bill would be sitting in the living room.....
You have a different "sleep pattern" now? lol

I end up staying up later than I like too often. I normally get up at 5:30.
I have some banking and such to do today. I will see everyone later.

it has rained so much lately that there will be no watering around my house for several days--well unless I water the flowers that I moved around--- why
\
Last night was had a wild storm & around 3 am I ended up spending awhile in the basement. rolz

then today it continued to rain until around 11:30---I say enough already.

Tina---I like the idea of oversleeping----I so seldom get to do that--good for you.

Bill---wow that is early to be getting up--well in my book it is---

Tomorrow I have cardiac rehab & then dare I say it ? I get to go to ceramics---THEN---in the afternoon I "get" to go with my DH to one of his check-ups with one of his Drs....

is anybody home tonight???

I'm a little late getting here. Just waiting for my anxiety pill to kick in so that I can sleep well tonight. I found out today that I have osteoporosis. How does someone who was active all their life and who was forced, and then later happy, to consume copious amounts of milk end up with osteoporosis at the age of 32? My bones were supposed to be reaching their peak at 30, not doing this. I also have osteopenia in my hips but at least I can try to prevent that from turning into osteoporosis. It's like when I had a pre-cancerous polyp removed from my colon at the ripe young age of 27. If my body has all these problems now, I don't even want to think about 20 years from now. I'm too young for these things. Anyway, I know I shouldn't complain, things could be so much worse. I'm just frustrated, wasn't expecting to hear that, and needed to vent. Tomorrow I get some blood work done and will look into ways to get more calcium into my diet. I'm supposed to take 600mg of calcium and then try to get 600mg in my food. I also have to start taking vitamin d. No drugs, at least, and continuing my running is encouraged.

Yes, exercise is very good for osteoporosis. I am so sorry you are dealing with it at such a young age, Cheryl. But very glad you are on top of it.
Carol, I will take a days worth of rain off of you each week during the summer if you don't mind?

Good morning.
Any day of the week will do, Carol. Although my neighbors would prefer not to see it on weekends. I don't much care.
I have plans on watering more today.

Thanks, Carol. It's the thought that counts. I had my blood drawn today and already got my calcium level results, which were normal. I kind of expected that. If they had tested my calcium before I started going gluten free I bet they would have been low just like my iron used to be. I really believe that I have undiagnosed celiac disease and that's what has caused this. I'm trying some experiments with low fat dairy products to get more calcium through my diet and will start the vitamin D tomorrow. For now that's my treatment, calcium, as much through diet as I can, extra vitamin D, and keep on running. At least I know it's there and I can take steps to not make it worse. I'm thinking I should really think about getting serious about incorporating strength training, especially for my hips. I've always known they were weak but had no idea it went farther than that.

So, how is everyone today?

My day was good. I have gotten a couple of good money saving deals on things I need and that always makes me happy. And I had the cash to take advantage of the deals and that is a blessing! So I am walking around with an inner smile and generally pleased with life.
I hope everyone is good?.

Good morning everyone !!! I had one type of day planned but now, instead, I am going to take my Grandpuppy "Luna" to the "Drs" this afternoon instead.

Right now waiting to hear from my DH's Dr..it seems we both, him first, then me backing him up,---told the dr the wrong mail order pharmacy---sheese---I feel so silly--now I am waiting for the Drs office to call me back so I can straighten it out.

It is a beautiful day out today--sunny DRY and mild in temps---
yes, simply beautiful---

Good morning. I took Ted to school and stopped to shop. I am going to make a bunch of eggrolls because I made the mistake of going to the produce section of the store when I didn't need anything. So I have a lot of chopping and stir-frying in my near future.

Carol - we are also having your beautiful day here - sunny, much drier after a brief downpour early this morning, and a nice slight breeze blowing constantly - ahhhhhhhh perfect!

Now if I can only convince the critters to leave me alone and move on to someone else's property I would feel much better today. Yesterday, I was watering a few plants that don't get rain water, and was loving the way my tuberous begonia was filling out and in full beautiful flower. Today... 1/2 the plant is laying on the ground in front of the pot, with 1/2 the soil dug into as well. This time it's the @#$% chipmunks, who are in abundance this year!!! They are digging out all of my potted plants, of which I have more than I usually pot up for summer. madd

Off to grocery shop and return a few items.
Have a good day all.

I made a mess of eggrolls for tonight's dinner and have a dozen for the freezer ready to fry up on demand later. Something that won't heat up the house much. And a way to get vegetables down my kid that she won't normally eat much of.
I don't fry things very often. I no longer think the mess is worth the effort or results. But eggrolls are kind of special. And once made up don't take much oil and don't leave as much mess.
Now I'm getting sleepy. Good night all. We are supposed to heat up to real summer as the week completes.

Good morning everyone---

Have a safe trip Cindy-

ya know I do not think it terms of how much the gas is gonna cost, I think it terms of how many miles my car has left on it---unfortunately, neither is a good option

Good morning. I am about ready to grab my travel cup and haul my son off to summer school. Each day is an interesting trip because they are working on our roads and freeways so much. I have to figure out alternate routes all of the time. And some days the way I go in the morning is closed off by the time I am going to retrieve him in the afternoons. It is a constant, changing puzzle. It sure wakes my brain up.

'morning all! Had another wonderful day at the beach in Connecticut yesterday with cousins who live there, and a delicious dinner out.

Speaking of gas, Carol - I got gas in NJ on Wednesday for this trip, and Thursday they announced on the news that NJ was lowering the gas prices at least 5 cents/gallon for the holiday weekend, beginning yesterday (Friday). Can you say... NO FAIR!!!

Today is a beautiful clear day, but temps are going to go up near 90. I have a few short errands to run, and then I think I will be home with a beading project and a good book that I am 1/2 way through.

What's everyone else up to for today?

Good moning !!

Lynne--yes I hate when that gas thing happens----it was down 10 cents here for a few days--so I got some---but I am sure with the weekend it is back up.

so glad that you had a great time at the beach!!!

Today I am on my way out to run a few errands. Then I am going to come back here to do some cleaning- my youngest DD is coming over for a Holiday BBQ, but sunday suits them better than Monday. My SIL will help Rod bring in my new couch.

High of 94 here today---thankfully it is only 82 right now---

everyone have a good day

Hot here today, too...low 90's...at least no major road trips. Just have to go 13 miles down the interstate to see my dad later.

I know what you mean about the 'ever-changing construction'...I'm dealing with that every trip to Lexington.
All the idiots on the road yesterday made the trip a nightmare coming back south...the people driving down here from "up north" (not mentioning any specific state here...lol) get in the fast passing lane and will NOT get over...everyone is having to speed up and wedge through a tight spot to try to get around them on the right. It's kinda like a real life freaking video game.

"Stop ranting, Cindy!!!"

I know, Cindy!!! WHAT is with all the drivers going 20mph in the fast lane on the left??? Speed limit here is 65 on part of the thruway and they just will NOT move over!

We traveled an hour into Connecticut yesterday - Friday of the holiday weekend, and I was shocked not to have seen a single cop/sheriff car on any of the highways! The only ones we saw were the numerous ones at the rear-ender at a corner of a busy street when we left the beach. And then there was the idiot cop there who motioned Lisa to drive striaght ahead and then walked slowly directly in front of her car while she was doing so!!! HUH?!?

Good morning. Because it is the freeways they are mainly working on I avoid them. But I have to go 15 miles one way from one corner of our town towards the opposite corner. And where the roads go under or over the freeway construction are often closed while they work on the bridges.
I have no plans on going out today. Tomorrow I might.

Good morning! Today is going to be a fun day for Joey and I as we are dressing up as zombies and joining thousands of other zombies to party and march for the Guiness Book of World Records. I'll be taking lots of pics and will post a link to an album sometime tomorrow. Should be fun, we've been looking forward to it for quite some time now. Tomorrow is trying to get the garden back in decent shape again, day. It seems there's always construction going on somewhere. In this city some of it seems totally pointless and doesn't seem like anything changed while roads that could almost break your car are never touched. It's supposed to be warm and sunny for us today.
