[I edited the title... more responses please :)]
Got this huge lovely perennial which asks absolutely nothing from its owners. It's my first summer at this address and the previous tenants have no idea what it is. We've asked several plant people around town and nobody knows it.
It's huge, this bush seems to have three plants, I also seem to have 3 flowering stems. Each leaf comes from near the ground.
The flowering stem foliage is completely different from the rest.
It flowered a few days ago, July 17, up here in the far far Great White North.
Though we've had a moist rainy early summer, this is usually an arid climate. Welcome, TNT. I haven't a clue as to what type of plant you may have. The photos will not show up for me. Even when I copy/pasted them. I would love to be able to see your pictures.

Thanks Tina. I tried following the image posting instructions but I guess I failed! :( Here's a sharing link from my photo album: http://www2.snapfish.ca/snapfishca/...0732995_50732995/otsc=SHR/otsi=SALBlink/My mother (lifelong gardener, but warmer climes) thinks it may be a Horseradish... which would fit with... my neighbour's Horseradish! :) This would mean that I've misinterpreted "flowered 2 days ago", because what I thought were flowers are extremely small, practically invisible. Maybe the bloom is yet to come?

If it is horseradish, I read it can take over a yard. Make sure to thin your plant in the fall after a frost to keep it under control. I don't know much about horseradish because it does not do well here in my desert.

Here is the link to my photos online: http://www2.snapfish.ca/snapfishca/...0732995_50732995/otsc=SHR/otsi=SALBlink/I've added 2 photos of my neighbour's Horseradish plant. The look VERY alike, except for the flowering stem. His is taller than the regular leaves and small white flowers. My flowering stems are shorter than the main leaves, and have invisible flowers ! Any new suggestions or ideas?

Your link just takes me to a log-in page and won't allow me to view. Still no clue.
