I think I have the right number.
Snow does make lovely pictures. And I enjoyed it in my younger years. I still enjoy the small bits we get. But also enjoy the fact that it does not stick around long.

Number looks right to me--- thumbup

Good Morning everyone. coffee

I woke up WAY too early this morning--5:30 to be exact...but then I went to bed at 9:30. I knew that I would be getting up too early if I went to bed so early---that'll teach me, huh???

Sorry about what the snow is doing to your trees & bushes, Bill....I do not really care for snow much either--yes it looks pretty but between what io t does to trees & bushes and the havoc it causes on roads & sidewalks---when it is gone, I sure do not miss it...

I went to bed before 9pm last night...didn't feel good. This Sjogren's arthritis is kicking my butt. I woke up about 6:30 because my back was killing me. My back has never hurt before.

More snow last night...26 degrees now.

It is sooooo cold.....brrrrrr nervous

Rach and Brennan have been here today. They are at Hampton Suites in a different town where Rach has a doctor appointment in the morning, then will be coming back here. Brennan brought his BB gun so we got in some target practice until wimpy CindyGranny got too cold to stay outside.

I didn't realize the BB gun I gave Brennan was so wimpy...the BBs bounced off the cardboard box we were shooting at. So, I am giving him my other bb gun tomorrow when he leaves...it will shoot through a piece of wood if you pump it up 7 times. Not good for him to be using a bb gun where the bb's could bounce off the target and hit him in the eye. You know what I have always said..."It's all fun and games 'til somebody gets an eye put out!"

Rach just called and said someone tried to get into her room...desk clerk rented her room after she was in it!!! How scary is that???? It happened to me once when I went to New York...about 2am someone was trying to get in...said they had rented that room. So, that stuff must happen pretty often. nervous

oh my that IS scarry---I do so hope that everthing is all straightened out now-- why.....

It is so nice that you will get to see Brennan & Rachel again tomorrow..and yes make sure that everthing is is good working order, we do not want brennan to hurt himself--or anyone else.

I got to see my Valarie tonight also---she & her DH brought me over a queen bed--when they consolidated their 2 homes they had 1 bed too many--so now I have 3 queen & 4 twin beds here....I guess it is time for a slumber party huh>???? why

Good morning..freezing out, we can't even thaw out the tractor windows.

I think Rachel should have been reimbursed fully for her room after that happened thumbup So glad they got a visit in.

Carol, I'll take one of those queen beds...that's on my wish list for next year.

Yesterday was awful, between the freezing cold and the winds there were alot of house fires. People have to put too much wood in the stoves to keep it warm, then it gets too hot for the pipes, then chimney fires start. The fire trucks passed 7 times yesterday, we know of two local houses that burned to the ground...and a few with roof damages now.

well good luck with your wish list, Sunny.
It took me like 4 years & a spine compression followed by a heart attack to get my nice mattress. I'm thinkin' I went a little overboard, huh ???
But now I have enough beds for my kids to all come & spend the night--(now to make that happen--my oldest says my youngest says they will not be spening the night here ever)

But then there is family in Ohio, & Washington State that comes here off & on--so we are "at the ready" I guess. Esp. since space at grandma's is limited.

OH MY !! That is awful about the fires. I just hate to hear that. Please stay safe. now I will worry.. nervous

Good morning.
This is why I am constantly cleaning my stove pipes. A big fear of mine.
No fear last night as I let it burn out anyway. I am still working on restarting.
It is only 46* out here, Sunny would be out wearing shorts and flops.

Uhhh....I don't think I would want to go thru that for a new mattress, as bad as I want a "Sleep Number-Craftmatic-Tempurpedic" mattress...(they don't make such a thing....but they SHOULD!!!).

Fires nervous .....scares me to death to think about, especially after watching my mom and dad's house burn down awhile back.

PS.....Rachel and Brennan just left....and I cried like a baby, as usual..... tears

I saw a Sleep Number-Craftmatic bed on HSN or QVC last week. So you can get that if you give up the Tempurpedic part. lol

Well Cindy, yes we are,- and sadly I am a few hours NORTH of you-- lol

you would think that it would naturally be WAY colder north of you. But as I said, not to worry, there is a cold front moving in here & it is going to be WAY WAY colder here tomorrow.
That is the joke---""If you do not like the weather in IL, just wait a few minutes, It'll change""
& yep they are right---we almost have to keep all of our clothes in the same closet here so we can dress appropriately each morning.

The cold and damp definitely get into my bones. It is colder here than in Illinois. A brief 55* was today's high. It got there then sank quickly. It is to be a little warmer the rest of the week then drop again next weekend.
I really got little done today. Ted is bathed and ready for the new short week of school. Clean sheets are on beds. Dinner tonight will be the leftover baked rotini from last night.

It was 33° when I got up this morning and the temperature hasn't changed all day. Its been snowing off and on.
There's 10" on the ground, another 6" expected tonight and 6" more tomorrow.... then on Wednesday, a really big storm is expected with another 12".
On Thursday it will start raining which will melt the snow and probably cause the river to flood, big time...

Gosh, I sure love the snow! rspb

The saddest part of your weather is that you are sending it eastward for everyone else, Bill. I hope you have plenty of supplies in case you get snowed in or flooded in.

In 1983 it snowed 6 feet in a stretch.
We had over 3 feet on the ground at one point.
We had no power back then... old

Sorry about all the snow Bill, sorrier about the quick melting you get and flooding. We are expecting a storm tonight also..one good thing is that it warms it up here when it snows. Most people couldn't start their vehicles yesterday.

Good morning all. breakfast

We still don't have snow but it's predicted to hit hard later today. If so, the kids definitely won't have school tomorrow. I made sure I got my grocery shopping done so we're good. Bill, hope it's not too bad up there. I'm glad you're protected from the river. This storm could easily turn into a big mess.
