We try to be good, Bill. I think we do a pretty good job most of the time. How's everyone today? DH went out and bought a new TV. We now have a 60" plasma sitting in our living room. This thing is huge, and looks great.

Good morning. If the winds slow down, I will be outdoors working a bit today. Cleaning up the mess they left behind. If not, I will be indoors most of the day. It is also a getting ready for the week day. There is always much to do.

There is still snow on the ground, but not much. The sun is supposed to show up later this week, so I'll be cleaning up the mess and trying to fix some trees that were damaged then. For now, the rain continues...

Internet is still on! I've been cleaning up Sparta's messes from last night. He destroyed the place, knocked stuff over in the bedroom making sure I didn't sleep...I got up went to the kitchen to start the coffee this morning and there was potatoes all over the place, and his water dish was moved about 6 feet and water spilled everywhere. I think he was smoking crack again.....

Good Morning Everyone!
Glad to see Sparta is still up to his old tricks, and probably new ones, too.
I have been following along with y'all, but haven't signed in since before Christmas. We had a stressful December and I think I am just recovering! I am blessed and grateful for my family.
A while back someone, Carol, I think asked my name. It is Beth.
We are getting ready to celebrate our daughter's 4th birthday this weekend. I always make her cake and cupcakes and this year she requested a pinata, so we are doing that. I can't believe my baby is 4!
Hope everyone is staying warm and safe today! I will try to jump back in more often. Have a beautiful day! ~Beth~

Hi and welcome back Beth. Sorry about your December. Your little one is turning 4, a fun age. Hoping you share some pics of the day with us. I am on a cleaning frenzy...DH came home for lunch and asked if I was watching Hoarders this morning I always go into an anxiety cleaning mode after watching. Maybe I'm crazy but I feel so good after filling a garbage back with junk. Also tackled that poor Schefflera today...cut back half of it.

Nice to see you back, Beth! Happy Birthday to your daughter...I had the most fun ever with Brennan (my grandson) when he was 4 years old...seems like yesterday, and now he is almost 13. They grow up in the blink of an eye. That "Hoarders" show inspires me to do nothing. I look around and see so much 'stuff' that I don't need and then I watch that show and I think "Holy Cow! My stuff ain't so bad after all!!!" So, then I am content with the piles of stuff.

See Cindy, that is what it says to me as well----And Sunny---I think I know yoiu well enough to say, you will NOT ever let your house get like that so there is no need to stress when/if you watch that show-- just look at it & say to yourself --"WOW how can they let things get like that ???" Beth !!! welcome back--'tis I "Carol" Good to see you !!!! I look at the bunch of us as "stress reducers" so come back often--- Back--Just thought I mention: Its 2:30. It is sunny out & the temperature is 61*F

I have never watched hoarders. The idea of watching scares me. I am a collector, not a hoarder.

I've only ever watched a couple of those episodes and it makes me feel clean by comparison. We got a new dryer tonight. Ours was overheating and no longer safe to use. We thought we were going to have to replace about five years ago so it had a good, long life. Work was stressful today, but it usually is when my co-worker is gone and I have to do staffing. Oh well, she'll be back Wednesday.

Good morning all..hope your day is better today Cheryl. I watch hoarders whenever I can(and DH isn't home) I think my fascination comes from the fact my mother keeps boxes and bags of stuff..not in the house but in her basement. She NEEDS to save everything in case someone needs a part or piece of an appliance, and saves every momento and toy my DD had. Old clothes, anything someone is throwing out, etc... I already threw out two big boxes of stuff(DD's old toys) two years ago when I was piling her wood She still hasn't noticed.

Good morning, well I am tired--- oh my now I feel bad. I have both of my DD's wooden doll houses, my youngest's child -sized fridge & stove---her littlest pet shops, a rabbit box that she made with her grandpa & some barbie items. and that is just a start of what I have. Then there is a bassinet, a play pen, a crib (which I am told is no longer deemed safe by the powers that be & neds to go) and a steamer trunk full of blanket & 'special' clothes. Not to mention if the girls want to keep something, they bring it to my basement. Rod tells people we are "a storage business" & that is how he makes his "real" money. I am off to bed once again--sweet dreams you all.

The only thing I saved from DD was her toy dollhouse, Christening gown, a pair of baby sleepers, receiving blanket and her first baby boots. My mother saved everything else I had to fight to give away her crib, stroller and such but they went to a mom in need so I won the fight. I also saved a newborn dress that was passed down from my aunts daughters...it's 25 years old and still like new. Well, must go get baking for the week.

Mmmm, baking sounds good on this cool morning. I have very few items of clothing stored from my kids. And little in the way of toys. I do have trouble tossing things that may still be useful to someone, sometimes. But after it sits for a year or two and begins to collect dust, I often toss. I filled half the dumpster up last week with stuffed animals. Bags and bags of animals. My youngest daughter moved out and I was able to furnish a kitchen with most dishes and things she needed for a large family. She just moved back home. So much for having all that new storage space.

I just made bread Tina...I was too lazy to cook anything else, I'll make the sweets tomorrow. It supposed to storm again Wednesday so it'll pass the day away. I think no matter the size of your house there is never enough space..my house is tiny but I have family with large houses who complain just as much. I really need to go to Yard sales this spring for another dresser and a pantry cabinet if I can find them...a jelly cabinet would be nice to have also.
