Even though the nights leading up to the Perseids meteor shower peak will be hampered by a waning full moon, they will still be easily seen by people on Earth.
For the 2012 Perseids meteor shower, a waning half moon will set darker skies each night following the peak of the shower. The Perseids meteor shower will be viewable all over the world.

I will be watching...... yep apparently I will too---my old neighbor said the first time she saw it was with my mom in our back yard--she suggsted we all go and do that agian---so I think we will....

The boys and I were just out side,, we saw a few tonight  . We primarily saw them in the north east area. It looked like wisps of glitter then quickly fading. I set my alarm for 5 am to go back out to try to get another look before dawn

I slept right thru the alarm  Jimmy said it was cloudy out anyway,,  But I will be up @ 5 tomorrow to get ready to go to work,, so I will look then,, Best seen right before the sun comes up
