Good Easter Morning--again !!!!!

and oh !! Happy April Fool's Day !!!

soooo tired today and still have clothes to iron

ironing done til next load finishes

I do not iron. Every couple of years when I do drag out my iron, I have to clean off about a half inch of our desert dust so it won't stink so much. Burning dirt does smell.
I hauled my son to school and stopped to shop on the way home. I stocked up on cleaning supplies today. And bought some Easter candy for 50% or more off. That will get put into canning jars and sealed with my food saver. And last us the next year and beyond without spoiling at all.
I have my books set up for my budget this month and have paid my bills. I have a blackberry pie (frozen) in the oven and I am beginning to smell it. I have Swiss steaks in the crock pot for dinner tonight. I love the slowcooker.

swiss steak in a slow cooker----you must post the recipe down in "whats for dinner"--that sounds good and easy !!!

Going to sleep now and then tomorrow I get to go watch my grandson...YAY me !!!!!

Beautiful spring weather yesterday! flowers blooming all over town; yellow daffodils, pink hyacinth, yellow forsythia bushes, pink trees, white blooming huge egg shaped trees (I don't know what they are ), purple ground covers hanging over rock walls...I'm happy!

It is kind of cloudy- may get rain they say... cooler but yesterday was a beautiful day...birds singing.... we need all the water we can get this yr... back on water restrictions starting yesterday.... not so good for us..

My rocking chair I have had since Carrie was a baby.... broke yesteday- rocker broke off... Joe sits in it and it just gave out... he is going go fix it today he says...I will be at Carrie's house till around 4 for school for Derek and Nicoli... Nicoli is doing well on the new meds ,, they will keep him on it till school is out and then go from there... hopefully it will fix the problem if not he has to have an upper GI.. hope it fixed but who knows at this point...its just so hard to watch and not be able to fix it..

Well off to make breakfast for us.. have ham left over so have that and eggs.... and toast sounds good to me today.... have a good day all!

I just finished having lunch. I heated some pork ribs I had fixed in the crockpot the other day and fixed some frozen veggies, then I had rainbow sherbet ice cream. Yummy. I might just read this afternoon.

No one's posted in here since I did early yesterday afternoon!! That's really different than it use to be years ago!!

I'm going to be gone with some of my quilting friends most of today. I always love that.
Going to buy a roll of batting so my granddaughter can finish her first quilt.
It seems like she already instinctively knew how to use light and dark fabrics and color choices. She did a great job putting the top together. She's 13 but she made this last year when she was 12. I'm very proud of her.

Just poking my head in.....its cold and been snowing off and on here, this weather really sucks!! Its colder then normal for here...come on warm weather.

Off in a bit to drive down and get Kait from University, she'll be home until next Thursday and go back for exams, leave about 3pm and get in around 9 tonight.

Anyhow.....off to do a couple things before we head out, so have a great day all.

Finally one of the boys got the dogs to go out this a.m. Better to mop up paw prints from mud, then the yellow stuff

It's still raining here and Chilly,, when I got off work I decided to get a pot of Veggie/Beef soup going,, making grill cheese sw to go with. Oh man this kind of weather makes me so sleepy *yawn* wish this was a Friday I would surely go to sleep after a bowl of soup.

It's 6:45 here and just finished snowing, heavy and fluffy for about two hours. It left the woods and everything beautiful ......then it started to rain and in a few minutes it changed from beautiful to just ugly. This weekend it is suppose to be in the 70's. This weather is one confused mama.

I rose early today and still waiting to shine... it's beautiful outside today and I spent part of it at Carrie's and part going to school and back... washed the comfortor off my bed today and hung it out too... love hanging out clothes when it's nice... it will smell so good on my bed...

We are having an already made and baked meatloaf and bakers for dinner tonight- or will as soon as I get up and get it ready... need to do it soon.. just don't have a lot of energy for some reason.... kind of blah and achy..

I had a long but productive day. I hired a contractor/friend to fix my roof. Life is good.

Yea, Sherri----that is great about getting to hang out your laundry---Oh how I miss doing that---when we moved, Rod never got around to putting me up a clothes line----

Gee Tina----when you get a moment, come here & hire me someone to replace a door jam (is that waht it is called---the wood under the threshold??) to the single outside door to the garage---Rod has never done that & is not looking forward to doing it

I opened up a checking account with my name & the girls names on it today.....It was a fun time----

Woke up to clouds today... but it's supposed to be warm- and then be rainy this weekend... no more laundry out for me anytime soon... oh well... my comforter is really a good start.

I will have boys here this afternoon after school till after dinner time... now to think of something to feed them.... hopefully Nicoli went to school today... he didn't do very well yesterday at all...

Well off to check out the freezer for something to thaw... gather laundry to wash and see what else I can get up to today.... Have a good day!

Sounds like a busy day for you, Nana.
I had a busy one as well. Lots of stuff going on this spring. And lots of money being spent. But I consider it an investment in my life. And well worth it.

Evening all,
We had breakfast for dinner.. pancakes, ham and bombas.... sunny side up eggs... that's my husbands word for them....
Boys are outside now running around like crazy... it's so nice outside and they are enjoying themselves... love this time of year... except for the allergies starting already... started my allegra already to hopefully ward off the worst of it...
I did get laundry washed and in the dryer,, will fold it all in a while- gotta go clean up that kitchen now... so glad I have a dishwasher ... makes my life a little easier when I feed hungry boys... well off to load it and then fold away....
