It is in the minus 30's today....welcome to February. We get our coldest temps this month.

I got my first garden catalog in the mail yesterday....it sure brightened my day.

Sunny, I can't imagine. I keep saying that but I just can't. We were 70° yesterday - unusually warm - but nice. The high today is 45. Did you fix your washer?

Our rehabbed handyman, with no memory at ALL, was here yesterday and supposed to put up the trellis's for the green peas to grow on and I left and went to the dentist so he only did part of it. Didn't secure them and since we live in a wind tunnel that just won't work. I want to be able to give this man a job (mainly because I need him to do odd jobs) but I have to continually direct him because the heroine destroyed his memory. He will do whatever I ask without complaint but when he finishes the task at hand he can not remember the next task. 1. Cut the grass. 2. Hose down the mower and put it away. ...He will do #1 but can't remember #2. If I'm not here he'll leave with the mower in the spot that he finished cutting the grass. 1. Take everything out of the storage building. 2. Stack the stuff back in the building neatly.......he left everything out of the building and asked "what next". Thankfully we were home to direct him that time. Sometimes I'd just rather do it myself.

Wow Sheri---can you find some other person who needs a job...that or I guess just ask him to come on days that you will be home ALL DAY ??? I think it is very nie that yoi have someone who helps you.

Sunny. That is COLD. I guess I should stop complaining of my weather temps. Mine are not as mild as Sheri's but they are also no where as cold as yours.

Tina. I will cross my fingers for you. You have been dealing with this far too long to my notion. I will be checking back to see how it goes.

I had a bad night last night. I was in bed at 8pm and didn't wake until my Tylenol wore off & I needed more. I finally got up at 6:30 but I only stayed up then b/c I was cold and my mind was racing from one thing to another.

I'm sorry you are sick, Carol. I hope you recover quickly.
The phone company came. It's fixed for now. Online and sticking.And the phones work too. It didn't take him long at all. A month of waiting and a half hour of work.

Thanks, Tina.. I am better this afternoon...and the Tylenol is working wonders...and if Tylenol can help, I must be on my way to being better.

Glad that the telephone company finally came--and I more glad that all is fixed now. YAY for you!!!!

I'm still waiting for my internet to go out. No trust yet. But it hasn't.

MId-night walk thru. I got up for a bathroom and Tylenol run..and could not go back to sleep. I am hoping I can get tired again soon.

Tomorrow I need to take the girl's onesies to the store that will embroider them. Don't feel like it and Rod did offer to take me anywhere I need to go "but" he has an agenda tomorrow and I need to get there before noon..so I will go by myself...and make a run to the bank as well.

Then after a rest I need to go to the Grocery..He can take me there if he likes.

Good morning. It looks like the fix stuck and it is good for now.
Today I need to go to the bank and the store for some things. I don't like to go on a weekend but that is the clear weather we have for now. So that's best for me.

Hi all.

Yes Sheri, I fixed the washer...it was just a hard water build up in the water inlet valve. I am so thankful I took appliance repair in high school...it sure comes in handy to know the basics and google completes the 'not knowing' the rest.

So sorry on the handyman situation...can they send a replacement? I wish I were close...you could hire me

Today I got up and went to order the girls Birthday gifts. Then, because my DH did not want to be bothered to take me later, I went grocery shopping at Dierbergs. Lovely store but it was a chore as I do not know where things are, not to mention that the meat was priced way higher than it is around here. BUT hey, it is done...


I am headed to sleep soon. so I will say g'nite now..sweet dreams.

I'm up and it is going to be a good day with rains coming in the end. I may or may not watch the Superbowl. It depends when it starts and what else is on. On my mood at the time, really.

Yes time does fly, and it is wonderful. So many bad things could have happened, we have all been blessed indeed....
The girls are going to be 1 yr old on the 22 of February, but their party will be the weekend before...Hopefully I will have many photos.....

OH MY..GG is sick again ?? I do so hate it when small ones get sick...I hope she feels better very soon.

We will NOT watch the game tonight. would love to see the Commercials tonight, but I have no desire to see some of the entertainment they say is lined up and I do not like Football in the least.

watched a stream of a LOT of past Budweiser commercials just now--they were great !! Nothing I saw tonight was better....and OH !! I did not think tonight's Budweiser Commercial was political in the least...I do wish I knew German though..

Going to bed soon, as tomorrow I have to go with my MIL to another Dr. Good think I am feeling better...

Sounds like everyone has had a busy day. I was only moderately busy. And stayed in all day. Tomorrow I will have a couple of phone calls to make about my phone bill and other things. I don't like making calls.

Saturday evening Johnny was rear ended by a drunk driver. Yesterday on the way home from church my car broke down. We managed to get it home but I was driving and ran one red light because I was concerned if I stopped the car would turn off because it was shaking so badly. It's at the Honda place today.

OH MY !! How is Johnny. and after that how is the car he was driving ????

It has been so cold...these minus 30's are keeping me indoors as much as possible.

I can imagine----I keep wishing it is spring already.

I can have a good list of work to do and somehow lose time so easily. I guess I will start writing my lists down so I get them done...

IT is very cold here today and will get colder, or so they say---snow is supposedly coming...we shall see.

They cancelled school today....it is still storming. GG and I just made a batch of molasses cookies...it smells so good in here at the moment.

Beef stew is in the oven and I plan to stay indoors for the rest of the day

Beef stew that sounds good. I had stew meat in my hand this morning and I put it back & took pork steaks out of the freezer instead,

I need to go out and fill the feeders for the birds, but otherwise I too will be staying indoors.

Pork steaks and stew sound good. You guys are making me hungry.
I have more tree branches down on my phone lines. My internet is iffy.
