how often are u to feed your houseplant with this food and can a person put a drop or 2 in the water of a plant that dosen't have a root

I have never put it in a plant that doesn't have roots. However, if I have one that is a slow-rooter, I have added just a drop to the water to keep the plant from getting yellow. Make sure you have plenty of water in your container and stir the water after you add the fertilizer. As to how often I feed my houseplants with it, it depends on what type of plant you are talking about. Some plants need to be fed more often than others.

the plant i am talking about is a pothos i have some in water to root 2 have a small root should i remove them and place them in soil now or not

If the roots are small, I would leave them a little longer. I let mine get a nice big "wad" of roots before I pot them up so they can get off to a real good start. I don't fertilize my pothos very often, no more than a light dose about every three or four months because they grow so fast. Too much fert and you will have a jungle :)

my grandmother--(who was born in 1888 and is no longer with us) would always put the powdered African Violet food into the water of cuttings she was trying to root---it always worked well. She even had me put it in a sweet potato she gave mo to grow in water as a house plant & this worked very well. For myself I often use the liquid Miracle Grow House Plant Food prepared as per directions on my cuttings I an rooting as well as my plants---I have always been happy with the results.

Read the lable! I feed my plants 1/4 strength every other watering.

How Often do you water with Miracle gro?

Like my previous post said, every other watering. 1/4 to half strength.

Tom & sandy: The MG I was referring to in my above post is/was: Liguid Miracle Grow House Plant Food (8-7-6). The directions say to put 7 to 10 drops of the liquid into 1 qt of water and use every time you water. I assume Tom is talking about the granulated form of MG.--Am I right??

Yes I was talking about the 15-30-15 granular version. There are way too many versions of plant food now a days IMHO. It's rediculous.

Just follow lable directions and you'll be fine.
