If you would like to participate, please read the rules, then send Jiffymouse a pm with Craft Swap for the subject line, and your address (if I don’t already have it) along with your email address. Phone numbers are nice, but not required. Also the words "i agree to follow the rules" in the body. here are the rules:
1 - all members must be signed up by August 17. 2 – post your answers to the questionnaire in HERE. 3 - names will go out by pm on or before Aug 19th 4 - all gifts must be mailed out by September 1, failure to do so will make you ineligible to participate in future gift swaps and could result in other penalties 5 - in the event of disaster striking you before you can mail out your box, notifying Jiffy as soon as possible will preserve your ability to play in the future. don't laugh, it could happen. we had 2 in another swap. please include the reason, even if it is just "i got snowed under and couldn't do it" 6 - gifts should be mailed with a tracking number when possible (even the post office offers that for only about 50 cents more) BUT... 7 - if you order your gift to be "direct shipped" please pm me when the order is placed, with the company name so i can post "so-and-so's gift has been ordered direct ship". 8 - finally - just like last time, that there is no specific amount, but please be mindful of other's budgets, and please make sure that you would be happy if you got what you sent out. if in doubt, $20-$30 VALUE is always a safe bet. and value is much more important than cost. 9 - post that you received your gift as soon as you get it, but at least within 3 days. pictures are great if you can! 10 - the administration of this board reserves the right to amend the rules as necessary.

I got: paint (9) Wood shapes (1000) scented candle (Blue Denim) leaf buttons butterfly buttons wire wrapped beads wood stickers assorted paint brushes Chapstick and a wind chime. Also included with the rest is a crocheted bookmark (I will probably copy), and a pair of dishcloths made into a pair of britches with attached poem ********************* "Don't get excited And don't get misled These aren't to wear But for dishes instead So take off the bows And pull out the stitches And you'll have two dishcloths Instead of the britches." ********************** Too cute. Thank you so much, Shirl!!! This was so much fun to open and go through. It will give me many months of happiness to come!! (It is FUN to be first!!)

My box arrived today from....TINA!!! She sent such a bunch of goodies, I hardly know where to start!!!!
I asked for beads and the fasteners so I could start making necklaces, and look?? Lots and lots of beads and the barrel type fasteners which are the ones I like best!!
And I asked for fabrics or trims left over from projects for my Kings and Camels I'm painting. And look at what I got!!! Beautiful, rich fabrics and lots of ribbon and laces and rims!!!
And Tina sent me some frig magnets (some Gomies!!) she made and purchased. and a cute little polymer gnome she made and a wire and bead bowl she made!! I am going to put some crystal sugared strawberries(ceramic) and some glass candies in the bowl...and I am going to attache the gnome on something I will make.
I LOVE those beads. {{Who? ME? Jealous, nah. **grumble, huff** }} Very cute Willy and coooool beaded bowl too. It is all great stuff! And everything you need to do wood burning!!
What a great box, Shirls. I bet it was a lot of fun tearing it open (or do you carefully open?) and going through everything inside. It's so cool to see what everyone gets.
Tina, Okay, how did you magically get it too it's destination sooner? Somehow you're wish came true!! You did great a great job!
don't burn yourself Shirley! And dont forget to unplug it when you aren't using it.
No kidding...I have gotten burned BAD with my wood burner... Always remember... the tip is HOTTER THAN HELL, and if you want to change tips, DON'T try to unscrew it when it's ON...with your fingers.
All I can do is laugh!!!
Sarah, I opened it carefully. It was great fun to look through and I love everything!!
I'm so glad it arrived!. You are welcome, Shirley. I was more worried you would be disappointed getting from me two swaps in a row. I can no longer do the wire/bead crochet so treasure that bowl. I didn't ever make many. The gnome magnets and the clay gnome were just for fun. You asked for small beads. I have some awfully tiny beads but I was pretty sure you didn't want those. So I got to bead shop. I love that. I couldn't find a 'kit' for the wood burner so I got to shop for a couple of practice pieces. That was fun. Hard to know where to stop. The ribbons are all leftovers from some of my projects. None of those reels have the amounts stated on them. But after seeing some of your embellishments, I knew they would find a good home with you. This was all fun. I only ever stressed about the small bead part. Then I decided and plunged right in. I am glad you like it all.

I LOVE all those different beads!! It's going to be fun learning to make necklaces. I'm so glad you got the barrel fastners! I forgot to say what kind, and that is the kind I wanted!!! I love having left over craft stuff!! I think I'm going to use a small wood plaque and glue Willy on there, or else find a strong magnet so I can put him on my frig!! Everything is great Tina! I'm going to have fun fun fun!
Oh...and I already have some glass candies in that beautiful bead bowl and it is sitting out! I will cherish it, as it is something very special!
Ohhhh WOW Shirley You got some prize things there.. Awesome bowl from Tina too, NOt many of them like she said!!!!!,, I can't wait to see what you create out of all of that!! I know it will be fantastic!!!!

Tina gave you the hook up! Very cool stuff!!!!! I love it all Shirley.
I hate to disappoint my person but I was going to mail my package out today until moms house was broken into and we had to deal with the cops for hours. So as soon as I can mail it I will.....It's all filled and ready, but my car isn't running and I'll have to see if Mark can take it on his lunch break at work.
Tina, thanks for showing magnets up close and readable like that!!! Those are the ones I got but couldn't take clear, sharp pictures like that!!! I just love those!!!
I'll be so glad when I can start playing with my wood burning kit!!!! But right now I'm busy making my craft for &^^$*!! so I can get her box in the mail!!!
Shirley--really great stuff you got there---now I am getting really excited myself----My box for %^&*$#@% is all packed--except for the gift I am making---but soon I will send my box to %^&*$#@% I promise!!!!
I too think that Bowl is a treasure---such a nice keepsake

Life isn't about how to survive the storm, but how to dance in the rain!! .....
I just got mine this morning from Sarah(LandofOz). I just love everything in there and I'm uploading pictures right this second! What a nice surprise this morning.....even though my neighbor did see me in my nightclothes going on the porch to get it!
Thank you Sarah for everything, you did a great job!
I love these flowers for my scrapbook....they are based around the color of one of my shirts I had on in my pics from WA state. Very cute idea!
I got these cool rub ons( I love rub ons), don't have any of the ones you sent so they are perfect!!!! flowers, vacation ones, and of course a pack of needles which I needed so bad.
More scrapbook rub ons! Yay! Once again they are perfect for my books!
Scrapbook paper/page, cross stitch fabric(which I needed bad), and look she even made a page for me!!! With the cool circles! The little blue book with circles is an idea book and I love it---very cool. And ring pops. For Athena???? Maybe one for me, one for her??? Me and Mark? Maybe both for me? Kidding.....
Thank you again! I have a feeling I'll be scrapbooking today!
I love it all so much! The other day I bought a small pack of rub ons, my first I'd bought and I love doing them! It's therapeutic in a way. And those flowers are cool too! And the papers, and everything--I really do love it all.
I can hear Athena now, Aunt Loz put your wedding dress on so you can get married(to a pound puppy or something).
I made the mistake of putting it on for her once and she is always bugging me now to put it on again.
I definitely can't fit into my wedding dress anymore. In the past 6 years I've put on a "little" bit of padding that definitely left me larger than a 4.
I love rub-ons (if you couldn't tell). They are so versatile and, IMO, a lot of fun to use.

Not sure if I could fit in it now or not myself...I've put on a few pounds this month. Actually when I tried it on for her I was shocked I could fit into it....I was a lot skinnier back then. When I put it on before she said...OHHHHHH, you look like a princess. Then she wanted to see me in the 3 bridesmaids dresses I have hanging up with wedding dress. That was a fun day alright.
While waiting for the next box to arrive, can you all help me decide what to display in the beautiful beaded bowl Tina sent me???!! I have glass candies and crystal sugared ceramic strawberries. Should I use one kind or the other or mix them?? Here is a picture to help you decide....I can't decide!!! Thanks for any help....you too Tina, you would probably be able to help better, since it was your bowl.
excellent gifts so far, i love them all! i am packing mine up RIGHT now, but my box is not long enough! i have to go to the drugstore, maybe they will have a box!
tina, i'd love to know how you made that bowl. it seems like something i'd like to try.
Wire, beads and a crochet hook, Jiffy. But working with the wire is tricky. Too thick, it won't crochet. Too thin, it breaks easily. It also tears your hands up until you develop calluses in the right places. I couldn't do it now because of arthritic hands. I never heard of a bead spinner back then. It would have helped tremendously. I will look up a site for you. I just found one with directions recently.

I'm sorry, $#%%@, but I can't take your box to the post office until Friday, cause that's when I get money put in my checking account again!!! Right now I have just about NONE!!!
It's okay Shirley things happen. I mean I may not be able to take mine until Friday when Mark is off work---gonna try to see if he can go on his lunch break to take it but I don't know if he'll have time to do that. I hate being this late with sending mine---I'm usually fast.
I guess a lot of us will be mailing at the last minute!! I'm glad I'm not alone!!! I hate having to mail it so late, especailly when it is sitting on the table, boxed up ready to go, and staring at me with an accusing face!!!
Hey at least when you get there, your post office doesn't refuse to mail it for you
Did yours??!!!
Not in the swap Shirl, but they wouldn't leave me mail Rita's gel candle kit I bought her. Apparently we are not allowed to mail perfumes, gels, lotions or oils from Canada anymore.
~~Tam~ You can bury all your troubles by digging in the dirt.
just a bee in the bonnet of you all swap-a-holics... i've had my second request for the fall gift swap so watch banter hall for that in late september.
I have photos to put here. They are from a box that Juniegirl sent. We need to applaud her good taste and we get to see good stuff. Scrapbooking stuff:
