And the rules once again;
Gift Swap Rules

If you would like to participate, please read the rules, then send Jiffymouse a pm with Craft Swap for the subject line, and your address (if I don’t already have it) along with your email address. Phone numbers are nice, but not required. Also the words "i agree to follow the rules" in the body. here are the rules:

1 - all members must be signed up by August 17.
2 – post your answers to the questionnaire in HERE.
3 - names will go out by pm on or before Aug 19th
4 - all gifts must be mailed out by September 1, failure to do so will make you ineligible to participate in future gift swaps and could result in other penalties
5 - in the event of disaster striking you before you can mail out your box, notifying Jiffy as soon as possible will preserve your ability to play in the future. don't laugh, it could happen. we had 2 in another swap. please include the reason, even if it is just "i got snowed under and couldn't do it"
6 - gifts should be mailed with a tracking number when possible (even the post office offers that for only about 50 cents more) BUT...
7 - if you order your gift to be "direct shipped" please pm me when the order is placed, with the company name so i can post "so-and-so's gift has been ordered direct ship".
8 - finally - just like last time, that there is no specific amount, but please be mindful of other's budgets, and please make sure that you would be happy if you got what you sent out. if in doubt, $20-$30 VALUE is always a safe bet. and value is much more important than cost.
9 - post that you received your gift as soon as you get it, but at least within 3 days. pictures are great if you can!
10 - the administration of this board reserves the right to amend the rules as necessary.

I will bring mine over here.
[Linked Image]
I got:
paint (9)
Wood shapes (1000)
scented candle (Blue Denim)
leaf buttons
butterfly buttons
wire wrapped beads
wood stickers
assorted paint brushes
Chapstick
and a wind chime.
Also included with the rest is a crocheted bookmark (I will probably copy), and a pair of dishcloths made into a pair of britches with attached poem
*********************
"Don't get excited
And don't get misled
These aren't to wear
But for dishes instead
So take off the bows
And pull out the stitches
And you'll have two dishcloths
Instead of the britches."
**********************
Too cute. Thank you so much, Shirl!!!
This was so much fun to open and go through. It will give me many months of happiness to come!!
(It is FUN to be first!!)

What a great box, Shirls. I bet it was a lot of fun tearing it open (or do you carefully open?) and going through everything inside. It's so cool to see what everyone gets.

Tina, Okay, how did you magically get it too it's destination sooner? lol Somehow you're wish came true!! You did great a great job!

I'm so glad it arrived!. You are welcome, Shirley. I was more worried you would be disappointed getting from me two swaps in a row. I can no longer do the wire/bead crochet so treasure that bowl. I didn't ever make many. The gnome magnets and the clay gnome were just for fun.
You asked for small beads. I have some awfully tiny beads but I was pretty sure you didn't want those. So I got to bead shop. I love that.
I couldn't find a 'kit' for the wood burner so I got to shop for a couple of practice pieces. That was fun. Hard to know where to stop.
The ribbons are all leftovers from some of my projects. None of those reels have the amounts stated on them. But after seeing some of your embellishments, I knew they would find a good home with you.
This was all fun. I only ever stressed about the small bead part. Then I decided and plunged right in. I am glad you like it all.

I LOVE all those different beads!! It's going to be fun learning to make necklaces. I'm so glad you got the barrel fastners! I forgot to say what kind, and that is the kind I wanted!!! I love having left over craft stuff!!
I think I'm going to use a small wood plaque and glue Willy on there, or else find a strong magnet so I can put him on my frig!!
Everything is great Tina! thumbup I'm going to have fun fun fun!

Oh...and I already have some glass candies in that beautiful bead bowl and it is sitting out! I will cherish it, as it is something very special!

Tina gave you the hook up! Very cool stuff!!!!! I love it all Shirley.

I hate to disappoint my person but I was going to mail my package out today until moms house was broken into and we had to deal with the cops for hours. So as soon as I can mail it I will.....It's all filled and ready, but my car isn't running and I'll have to see if Mark can take it on his lunch break at work.

Yeah, ring pops for you and Athena. lol They were leftover from a birthday party (I've got another 20 or so if you'd like them...)

I'm so glad that you liked your stuff. I was pretty concerned about that.

I love it all so much! kissie The other day I bought a small pack of rub ons, my first I'd bought and I love doing them! lol It's therapeutic in a way. thumbup And those flowers are cool too! And the papers, and everything--I really do love it all.

I can hear Athena now, Aunt Loz put your wedding dress on so you can get married(to a pound puppy or something). lol

I made the mistake of putting it on for her once and she is always bugging me now to put it on again. rolz lol

lol I definitely can't fit into my wedding dress anymore. In the past 6 years I've put on a "little" bit of padding that definitely left me larger than a 4. lol

I love rub-ons (if you couldn't tell). They are so versatile and, IMO, a lot of fun to use.

lol Not sure if I could fit in it now or not myself...I've put on a few pounds this month. Actually when I tried it on for her I was shocked I could fit into it....I was a lot skinnier back then. lol When I put it on before she said...OHHHHHH, you look like a princess. Then she wanted to see me in the 3 bridesmaids dresses I have hanging up with wedding dress. That was a fun day alright. rolz lol

Rub ons rock! thumbup

Cool gifts. I need to look into scrapbooking in my spare time.
Three down. How many left? 9? 10? Fun, fun, fun.

While waiting for the next box to arrive, can you all help me decide what to display in the beautiful beaded bowl Tina sent me???!!
I have glass candies and crystal sugared ceramic strawberries. Should I use one kind or the other or mix them?? Here is a picture to help you decide....I can't decide!!! Thanks for any help....you too Tina, you would probably be able to help better, since it was your bowl.

Wire, beads and a crochet hook, Jiffy. But working with the wire is tricky. Too thick, it won't crochet. Too thin, it breaks easily. It also tears your hands up until you develop calluses in the right places.
I couldn't do it now because of arthritic hands. I never heard of a bead spinner back then. It would have helped tremendously.
I will look up a site for you. I just found one with directions recently.

It's okay Shirley things happen. I mean I may not be able to take mine until Friday when Mark is off work---gonna try to see if he can go on his lunch break to take it but I don't know if he'll have time to do that. I hate being this late with sending mine---I'm usually fast.

Not in the swap Shirl, but they wouldn't leave me mail Rita's gel candle kit I bought her. Apparently we are not allowed to mail perfumes, gels, lotions or oils from Canada anymore.
