Great gifts Jess, you got some wonderful things!!!! Isn't it exciting? I love craft swaps now.
Those dishclothes that Triss made look cool. Somehow I can never get my edges straight like hers are. My edges "wobble." Looks like everyone is getting some pretty cool packages.
By the way, I was so annoyed to discover that I'm out of photos! I'm going to have to put the walmart one-hour to good use, just so I can use some of the stuff I got!!
(I have some catching up to do as I was not online yesterday at all.)

Actually, Everybody--I made Triss a Willie as my craft item as well!!! He was a little 6 inch guy. I painted him to match Bill's Willie. (the one on his posts)
Glenda, Christy, Sarah & Wrennie: great Gifts,- to be sure!!! I really enjoy seeing all the great gifts everybody gets.
Christy, Wrennie, Wendy, & Jessica--you all did great jobs!!

OK--so I noticed too late that CS #7 was closed. I tried to delete this post from there & move it to here--but I could not. Oh well!!

Jessica, to say that I am up-to-date with my photos is a far cry from merely being out of them. I believe my scrapbooks are up to May of 2006, so I'm just over a year behind. I always order my photos in "batches" (dig. camera) because sometimes the girls get into them and slobber, fingerprint, or get food/dirt smudged all over them. This way, they can only ruin a small batch at a time.
Who's getting their package today? I'm ready for them to get it and post pics, just as soon as they are ready!!
I looked at a pattern for the pot scrubbers that somebody posted here somewhere but I'm not good at reading those patterns. I wanted to make some but I will have to see if I can figure it out!
Is the pot scrubber made with two sides put to gether, only, or is it filled with anything thing...like a plastic or polyester scrubber (whatever those are made out of!)?
It looks to me like this one is two sides put together. There is nothing in the middle. There is a link to a pattern posted here somewhere. Let me go find it.
That looks pretty much like the same thing! I don't need the pattern though. I can do it in my head (as nuts as I am??!! Yep!) Just needed to know if I was supposed to put anything in side. Cool!! I'm making some!! I have four of the dish cloths, and really like them!!! They just 'feel' good when they are wet and you are using them!!!!
(That even sounds crazy! Why does everything I say sound 'crazy'? )
Do you have to ask that Shirls? You don't even want to me to comment on that anyways! I can't keep anything clean enough to post a response to this: They just 'feel' good when they are wet and you are using them!!!!
I have made some of the dishcloths but for some reason patterns don't make any sense to me. I have to just make something up when I am doing it. Maybe if I would learn from somebody how to read them and watched them do it I would figure it out but it is jibberish to me. I do my own thing! Might try that to make some of them!
Bummer Carol Jean! But it could come UPS or something??!! That is how I sent mine! It is convenient for me because I can do it right here from work and I don't have to go to the PO.
ill check back in in a bit n see if nl posts!!! bb is wanting to play on the puter n all those colored threds wrennie got me gave me a itching for needle point:}
Jessica, I can do both, read patterns, and make it up in my head. But I can also look at the picture of a pattern and just do it!!! At least I'm capable doing SOMETHING!!
Jessica, since you know how to crochet, I'm sure someone could show you how to read a pattern and you would then be able to, right away, and it would then be easy for you.
I think I need somebody to explain it to me and have them actually do it as they are reading the pattern so I see what they are talking about. I don't know all the stitches. I just do what I want! I think I know what a double crochet is and all that but I might be doing it wrong too! I looked online and taught myself.
Bummer Carol Jean! But it could come UPS or something??!! That is how I sent mine! It is convenient for me because I can do it right here from work and I don't have to go to the PO.
Well good!! then we all have hope yet----Thanks Jess.

YAY look at all the cool gifts!!!!!!!!!! i am just now having a real chance to go back over all the threads.......all love all the bead stuff, the santa, the dishcloths, and just everything everybody got!
sarah, i saw last nite that you got mine, i just did not have time to post. i had sooo much fun picking the stickers out for you, that is the first time i "really" looked at scrapbook stuff, i could spend a fortune! i had hoped you liked everything, and it looks like you did!
NOW....I GOT MINE TODAY!!!!!!!!!!! i think it was there yesterday, but believe it or not, i did not go to the post office
jayhawk got me---which i got her in the last swap---- YOU DID GREAT! I LOVE EVERYTHING!
i got... 2 scrapbook pages with cats (but i could not get them in the pic) 2 packages of cat stickers cat cut outs for scrapbooking cat note cards a BEAUTIFUL basket she made :ding: mod pouge paint brushes 4 paints all purple and green....my kinda colors! 4 scarecrow stakes....i love fall and halloween! 3 suction cups.....i constantly need those! hot glue stix.....always a must! 2 things of beads....one looks like crystals...the other is moonstone chips! moonstone is my absolute fav....how did you know!? and a gorgeous card with a hand written note!
close up of basket she made and the pretty card....sorry the card is too far over the basket..
Is snuggles all black? Those are some cool gifts! That basket looks so neat!
Wendy, it is so easy to spend a ton of money on scrapbook supplies. I try not to buy anything other than paper and occasional tools. Anything else goes on the christmas/birthday list! And I just tried those pens today and they are awesome! They write so smoothly and are very, very glittery. I will have to hide them from the kids.
Glenda makes beautiful baskets. You can see the one she made for me, in our Meet and Greet topic in Member Interactions! (I'm going to have to take another picture of it with my Pothos start in it!!!)
Thanks for all the nice comments about the baskets I make.
The one I made for Wendy is supposed to resemble a paper gift bag. It can be decorated for seasons, holidays, parties, or just about any occasion.

Well, while we wait for Shirl NL, I will show you the basket Glenda made for me which I put a Pothos in. The red and green fabric you see is what she lined it with and then pulled the corners through! Very clever. Look at the little round knob feet. I love those!!!!
Don't worry!! The plant is sitting in a plastic dish
Thanks again Loz! I really love all the things you picked out. The cross stitch magnets you made are beautiful and shall be cherished!
Loz sent me...
Beautiful bamboo wind chimes ( which will go to good use when we do our landscaping in the spring. I love the way they sound.
Yarn Caddy A wonderful dragon fly candle holder 2 cross stitch magnets she made. One says plant a seed, and has a watering can on it. The other says.. Our home is blessed with love. Scrap book embellishments for me to be able to start my new grand sons scrap book with Scrap book scissors Scrap book punches Stitch markers A package of card stock Glue sticks Handy tack mounting tabs Lavender and chamomile body wash ( both favorite scents of mine) A lovely card with a note written inside!
Everyone recieved such wonderful things. I have really enjoyed the pictures.

You know I looked all over for sock yarn. I really did. Even had Mark helping me look. I'm pretty new to scrapbooking myself so I'm just jumping in and not looking back---it's a lot of fun and there's so much cool stuff to buy to do it.
BTW, the magnets....one is white and the other was done on cream fabric...I didn't want you to think one was dirty or something.... And I sell Avon and I like to spread a little Avon love---that's my all time fav. shower gel they make.
I love bamboo chimes, glad you do too---I think they sound soothing.
Cool stuff! I am afraid to look at scrap booking stuff yet. I have too many WIPs (works in progress) and plans on the next projects to tackle something new. You have good taste, Lozzie Lou. And Shirl is a lucky lady.

on the counter tops. Good taste we have! Our counter top is a quartz composite ( solid slabs). I did not want granite because of the sealing requirements every so often.
I know you spilled your coffee on the cream colored magnet and tried to wash it out . I would never think it was dirty!
Poor poor Mark! I am sure he was rolling his eyes as he looked for sock yarn! No biggie. I would not have started on them right away anyhow. I have to learn how to do them.
Thanks on the tile work. We had this house custom built, so we were able to work with the designer, and do things the way we wanted them done. I really like the way it came out too.
OK, I am no longer going to hijack the thread.
OH my goodness!! YES the magnets are wonderful! I smiled when I saw them because both sayings touched my heart! Don't fret. I loved everything
Shirls??? Who in the heck are you talking to? ( Wendy)
Yep they are on the fridge now

Shirley, that is a cool basket that Glenda made. She really is a talented lady!!
Wendy, my cat is all black too, which is why we asked. Black cats are my favorite! We got ours shortly after having our youngest, kinda an apology to the eldest (sorry you're not an only child, have a kitten ) and she named him "black kitty" which is now Blackie. Such an original name!

I have already started cutting out a quilt from all the fat quarters I have received as part of the various gift swaps.
It is a very easy one with no seam matching.
I hope to have the top put together within the next month so keep watching for a picture.

Or should we put our stuff in Latest Projects and just say it was made from our Craft Exchange?! I think that would be better, or too many topics on the same theme could get confusing...like...hmmm where should I show this at??
alrighty, i declare this topic officially closed and a major success.
i'm sad we won't hear from penny, if anyone gets an email telling them she got her package from shirly, please let me know and i'll add that to this thread. i know when shirley sent it out, but because of the trans-border shipping, a tracking number was cost prohibitive.
Thank you all for playing , it's been great fun. watch banter hall for the fall gift swap, that will come up in october. and don't forget to post your works in the latest project topics!
I received word this afternoon that Penny received my box and, 'would they please let me know, and that they liked everything'!!! Very round-about, I must say, but at least we now know she got it.
