I love giving out lots of candy at Halloween. I always enjoyed getting it so much. I trick or treated until I was 17 in my neighborhood. I'm expecting 4 kids at my door. They will each go home with at least a pound of candy from here.
Today I took Ted's treats for his classroom. Little plastic pumpkins stuffed with candy and tootsie pop ghosts.

I was working on Maxi's shirt for tomorrow. I used a Sharpie to write out the dictionary definitions of Imagination, Play and Music. Then I drew music notes and bedecked them with gold glitter. When the glue sets, I will add splashes of bright colored paint here and there. My creative son, the artist, musician, writer.
He loves the shirt so far!

That is good that he likes it, Merme. I cannot imagine trying to get a kid to wear something that they did not like. I work hard at getting Jonni to wear things within the school dress code that I will tolerate as well. It is a tough battle.

I think the dress codes are easier for boys. I wouldn't want to be a teen girl today trying to go to school and keep up with my peers, please my mom AND suit the school rules!

Oh how I long for the days when my kids allowed me to make their costumes!
Treasure these times, Merme. I made some pretty cool ones back then.
I'm about to post a picture of my daughter in this year's costume in the Halloween thread up above. She's given me permission, though I'm a little leary to do so... so I think I'll take it down soon after posting...

darrell traded in his perfectly good PAID FOR truck to get us ANOTHER vehicle payment.....so i am teed off......he is the only one working right now and i guess it will stay that way.....i am not going to get a job to support his truck payment or pay the bills so HE can make his truck payment!
