i wanted to thank everyone for their prayers for ellie. please keep them coming, but she is home from the hospital. i've taken a couple of days off to take care of her, it's all good.

So glad Ellie is home from the hospital---and that you were able to take some time off to be with her, and care for her..

perhpas you can get some rest too. (hint---hint)

thank you jessica. now, the prayers are needed for her to get a good job. her dr. made her quit her job. so she is totally without income, with car payment, mortgage, etc. the only blessing is there are no children.

I'm sorry to hear that Jiffy!! I sure hope she will find a job soon!! I will say an extra prayer for her!

Thank you Carol..... To make a long story short, when we went to WA state I got my pills refilled....30 pills lasted me 4 months, that's how bad I got with taking them.....I think they just got to the point where they were totally out of my system completely....so for the past week I've been taking them religiously and praying that they kick in before Christmas.

A few years back I probably wouldn't have been so open but as I get older I realize that more and more people I meet are on something for depression or anxiety.....it's almost the norm anymore....so I don't feel so weird talking about it with everyone.

sweetheart--I was on medication a long time back--I think I told you about it. and I too would make a 30 day supply last 3 or 4 months--not a good thing---



is there somethinmg you can associate the pill taking with--do you have other medication you could lump it in with???

then there is "seeing" them-----
I kept mine 1st on a shelf that I walked by every day--I passed it up- -and then I kept them on the kitchen window over the sink--because i washed dished every day---that worked better. But actually I am thinking with a meal is the way to go--everybody eats

now, if while we are praying for loz, if you will add matthew to your prayers, i'd really appreciate it. his meds are screwy and that means he's screwy too.

Thank you Carol, today was particularly bad for me so I still need all the prayer I can get. I'm upping my meds tonight so hopefully it won't be long until I feel back to normal.

Back in prayer request 8 I asked for prayers for my church friend Janine, the 40 year old admitted to the hospital to begin chemo for leukemia. She's been in the hospital since mid-November and things aren't going well. She's been unconsious and in intensive care for about 10 days... many complications.

Her college age daughter got home for winter break this week and has been staying the days with her mom. Janine's husband is staying overnight with her. The 13 year old daughter has been busy with school and babysitters and visiting mom when she can.

Please continue praying for this family.

On an uplifting note re the power of prayer... my friend Stephanie had brain surgery on November 20th. She had the two hemispheres of her brain split apart to stop the ferocious seizures she'd been having. It was a last ditch effort as that surgery can have many awful aftereffects. Well! The surgery was a complete success! The seizures have stopped at last. AND there have been no difficulties with memory loss or thought processing! She is looking forward to a complete recovery and a new teaching job in the new year.

Such a wonderful family---I feel so lucky

I just stopped in for a few to ask for prayers. it seems I have another incisional hernia--this time it is completely broken open. My surgery is at 11:15 central time today---They are going to put a plastic mesh over the whole inside incision area this time.--If all goes as planned, I get to come home tomorrow sometime in the afternoon I am assuming---

Got to go now & get ready to leave---
