They are predicting as much as 30cm of snow this weekend (that's like 13-15inches)

Sweep it when it is nice and fluffy, then you wont have to shovel it.
I like to sweep ours......Of course it fills back in........
You can make some money Ken, shovel neighbors walks........

And get exercise...........

makes the winter fly by.

I'd base the price on the size of the driveway or you might get taken advantage of. I hope you make a TON of money. thumbup

I thought about that too Loz! (aren't I getting smart lol) I'm only going to put flyers on a few houses on either side of our house, the houses on our street are pretty much the same and the driveways pretty much the same, but thanks!!

Barb, I never really thought of it that way but you're right....Springs arrival is the best, and Mark loves having the winter off from mowing in the heat. The return of the birds, a day warm enough to open the windows, watching all the bulbs come up.......ahhhhhhhh, I want spring now! haha

Loz,

Not only is it a break, it saves fuel for us..........On the farm all the machines come to a stop also......Tractors, and we save on that and it makes life a bit easier on the pocket book......

However we love spring awaking up all the plants and birds an bees.....Even our kids get happier.....

Tamara........

I suppose your used to your style also.........And do enjoy the green spring as we do........ :ding:

Keep us posted.

well the high today is suppose to be only 70* i guess winter is going to return. i know what you mean barb, about knowing the first blade of grass or bloom. or bird for that matter. but i do get the thrill of warm breezes back, because even with the 80* the wind has had a cool bite to it. and everything is a funky drab color, not the brilliant hues of spring.

We're having a bit of "spring like" weather right now. Just at the freezing mark, so my boys can still skate on our pond. shots But it's supposed to get even warmer and that means melting days, and not what they want to see. nervous

Hopefully we'll get some snow for Christmas again cause it's almost all gone. prayers

Well a little dust for christmas is ok........
However we just stay home ......And we have lots of food and heat. A generator if the power goes......HD just went for gas to keep it running if needed.

Merry Christmas..

It's snowing. Gonna be a big storm.

Hoping Kenny is o.k. It was supposed to hit the city of Toronto quite bad as well, the city doesn't fair well with major storms like this.

I'm doing fine Tamara, it started to snow, and there's a few centimeters on the ground from last nite, but its picking up again. I could hear the wind when I woke up this morning over the tv, very low visibility. With hope it's going to be a snow day tomorrow, but I still have to go to school because bio goes by so fast I can't afford to miss a lesson

It's been snowing all day till now, good news is I got to shovel one driveway and made my first $15, what a nice thing amidst all this snow lol It's going to hit Tamara's area soon possibly tomorrow, its going to move to North NB The weather channel says its a circular system, snow wrapped around a low pressure system, snow is flying all over the place in all directions, and wind is picking up. The snow is granular and doesn't pack so wind is carrying the snow around, it stings when the snow hits your face...ouch!

Loz,

You sort of looking like us......It was 38º at noon, then it sunshined n melted the ice on the truck........Then it began to snow and blow like in Maryland.

Nice day to watch the Steelers.

Yep barb it was sunny and the ice melted, now we are supposed to get 3-5 inches. Not too much but enough to be pretty!

Good day for staying inside for sure and watching some tv.

snowed here in NH all day. We got about 8 inches lot less than they predicted. Our weather is cold enough so it won't be melting any time soon. White Christmas and that is nice since we haven't had one for a couple years.

It hit us late yesterday and into the night, this is possibly one of the worst storms I've seen in years. They called for an emergency shut down of all roads, even the government plows weren't out(DH waited all night for a call). DH only got called out at 3:30 this morning, and had to push the snow with his truck in 4 wheel drive to get there.

The winds are so fierce that it's a total white out. So far we've gotten well over a foot of snow. They said Northern NB would get hit the worse and Kenny they were right. The winds are in all directions. You can't move the snow because it just lands back onto itself.
