Absolutely freezing here. It is -30*C this morning...that's -22*F for the rest of you. 6 inches of snow yesterday as well. I'll take some pics outside at lunch time.

it's all ugly and grey and slushy outside. it was grey skis the whole day and lots of rain

that describes here, minus the slush. we've just had flooding yesterday, we had 5 dorm rooms flood and streets closed that haven't been closed once in the 12 years i've lived here.
we are gray and raining off and on all day here. snow has not washed away by no means though :wink:After Chrismas it can though Can't wait to try winter sowing in January. I hope I don't get disappointed

It didn't snow yesterday but there was still snow on the ground...I guess you can say it was a white Christmas after all. very wild, reaching 2*C today so I'm guessing things will melt a bit, and they'll refreeze. we have snow planned for the next few days until friday so hopefully we get lots so I can shovel more walks lol the skies are grey right now but i think they might brighten up later

Today it's cloudy but doesn't seem too cold. Yesterday it snowed which was nice of it to do so on christmas day. Didn't last though which is just how I like it.
It's -5* C right now and supposed to stay down for a few more days. But no snow for us yet. Had a bit just before Christmas. Though we have no snow our pond is staying frozen and my boys can do some skating.

My goodness............I am glad your on the flatlands. We have hills and valleys and it does drift in deeply......So I do see part of what your in for......
We have hills and such also, there are times when the snow plows get stuck from the storms. It's hard to explain how bad our weather gets because we are used to it but to others it's unbelievable.
DD had an exchange student at her school from Mexico, she went back home two weeks ago...she couldn't get used to the cold..

I see what you mean......My sisters and brothers all live in town, and they can 't take the weather like I do......we go out in it daily. I have to go get the mail and news paper..About 250 feet away from the house, and either you go out or you dont get the paper and mail..LOL However comes spring and summer and I am the envy of the family.. I like outdoors and privacy......
34ºand starting to snow here....... Just got home from my sisters......Had cake and Klondikes for his birthday. Now I feel sick. Klondikes are delicious but the chocolate makes me sick....I almost throw up.. b
Now his sister and bro are coming to say happy something..
Checking in at 31º and doing nothing out there......We had a dust of snow after dinner yesterday and it lingers........Looks like some one spread flower around here..
It was 17 this morning, and started snowing sometime while I was sleeping We have had 2 inch snow storms for the past 2 days, but we are getting a blizzard now. 9 - 18 inches predicted Will have to scrape the roof again

We are in the middle of a bad storm, the winds are getting worst. They announced closures due to the blizzard conditions. Supposed to fall to -33*C ( -27*F )by the late afternoon. Brrr........

We are in the 20's here the day after our storm We got over 12 inches. Today's paper said we had the third snowiest December on record. We started Jan. with more of the same. 41.09 inches total in December. Here are some photos taken last night before I went to work. Check out this bird feeder.
My car and 4 inches had been brushed off earlier in the day.check out DH snow banks from plowing.
Stay warm Tamara

OH my Tamara--I am so very sorry-- and I was about to complain about it being cold here--it is around 9* F.
I even take the thought back---like Leola said--keep warm my friend.

It's down to 39.7 down here. Yea the sunflowers one day i just wanted to see if they would grow from the birseed of my bird to prove my grandma and mom wrong they said it wouldnt grow and i just stuck them in the ground didnt do anything to the soil we just have sand and like 2 weeks later (the ones planted in shade) 4 days (the ones in full sun) they started growing, Ill i did was water them and their so big and getting taller and starting to bloom but the frost like i said is prolly going to kill them =( but oh well ill just plant more =) but their really resistant dodge, and when i clena out her cage i have sunflowers grow in the yard too until they get mowed over, lol... but yea dodge it was fun growing them so im sure they'd like it!
ive never heard of those towns dodge are they big city towns or more rural, idk much about florida never really liked it down here except for being able to grow alot of plants because of the weather.
Heres a pic of the first one i planted it was back in late october??..., it started blooming just here in december it wasnt planted in full shad and only got morning and before sunset sun so thats why its stem isnt as thick and its wasnt very tall but like i said the animals got to it but here is a pick of it before it got eaten grr... the bloom wasnt fully open in this pick idk what happned to the other pics

You sound like a good person....... Nice you help all of them ......I know it is hard to sleep here in the summer. But not many only sleep 4 hours..I usually do 7 ......... My nephew in florida is working at school maybe student teaching.. While he takes Online classes to be a teacher......
That must be common there>>. My other neice moved to Florida a year ago, and took classes to become a Realtor and a Security guard.............She is ambitious ......Loves florida.
I'd love to take an on line class....but I'm up at 6 take my daughter to school, 17 miles there, 17 miles back, then have a couple hours fpor house work, washing etc, then hop back in the car run back up ther to pick her up 17 up there 17 back and usually 3 days a week hubby has me drive some where to pick something he wants up, or go look at something he wants for him
this week end I made a 4 hour drive 8 times and have to go again this coming week end, so it mnakes it hard to take a class at all. But I'd love one

well, i am freezing. i've tried not to brag about the warm weather, but winter finally made it to georgia. it is 30 now, supposed to get to the low 20's with windchill to the low teens. i hate cold
yea online school down here is becoming really popular becuase its easir then having to go all the way acroos town and you actually learn more i think becuase in public schooling the teachers dont give you much attention on mine they will give you as much as you need to learn something (math) not my best subject... but its also much safer!! the public schools down here arent very safe though well at least. I know when i was in public school kids were going around drinking alcohol outta water bottles it was a mess as soon as i told my mom bout that she took me my bro outta there! theres only one draw back i dont get to see my firends that often as i would like too...
