I agree with everyone--lynne---you do beautiful work and you can be proud--such fine & hard work for you to go unappreciated---shame on them !!!
I second that emotion! Those gloves are awesome!
And to have someone knit a pair especially for me...I would be so flattered!
Shame on them!
Triple shame on them I wear the scarf you made me almost everyday,, Even on not so cold days but chilly days when the wind is blowing while Emmy is struttin' her stuff in the sweater you made her! People like that only appreciate themselves,, while others around them shake their heads in disgust. I don't knit as you know but I appreciate every loop every click of the needles and ache in your hands it took to make my scarf and sweater for Emmy!

I too cannot wait to see what you knit next, Lynne--
I do not know how to knit eitehr--but I am so in awe of each thing you show us.
the girls crochet I think it is,(?) with yarn. I have a heavy afgan for the couch that they both had a hand in--I love it--it is so toasty warm !!! and I appreciate it all the more because they made it for me.
I guess I should try to learn.

Life isn't about how to survive the storm, but how to dance in the rain!! .....
They say that it is the beginner class Lynne but I don't really know. The lady teaching it said that they don't start with a scarf because it is long and tedious and that makes people give up fast because they think that all knitting is that way.
Has anyone seen the new "trend' in scarves this year? I heard the scarves are knited a little longer then the ends are joined to form a complete circle.
Has anyone else heard,or seen,that?

How weird that you should mention that. I just got home from The Gap Outlet where I had bought one like that. I got it for Mommy. I had gotten myself one a couple weeks ago and love it so I got her one, too. The original price on them was $29.50. Since I got them at the outlet store I picked them up for $0.99.

If you never have you should. These things are fun and fun is good.
I'll post pics of it later on. I'm making Brennan a Thomas Edison costume for school right now. I'll be taking pictures of that and posting them later on, too.

Thought you might like to see what I've been working on in between all my other projects that are a bit easier to finish in shorter time periods. I'm not sure I like the color combos, and not sure what I'll do with it when it's finished - might donate it to a shelter or nursing home.
It's called a Log Cabin Blanket, and is knit in 18 rows on each side, around and around and around...
Lynne...I dreamed last night you were trying to teach me how to knit...and the knitting needles kept flipping out of my hands.
