Well, it has warmed up to -27*C (-17*F) this morning. We are in the middle of a freezing snap.....which usually means no snow for a few days. I had to shovel out my bedroom window yesterday, we couldn't see out of half of it.

I have heard about shoveling out windows but I'm kind of glad that I haven't had to do it. Right now it would be beyond me anyway.
We have a lot of rain headed our way. We need it but the areas that were recently burned are in danger of mudslides and flooding without the growth to hold it on the hillsides. We personally are in pretty good shape as far as our hillsides I think. I am so looking forward to the rains. We are expecting in this one rainy period of 3-4 days about twice as much rain as we got all year last year. It is much needed.

it is between 68* & 70* F here today---alternating between being slightly sunny & a bit cloudy. sounds nice but it will just make the cold all that much harder to deal with when it comes back why

although the DH did use this day to take down our outside Christmas display stuff-- thumbup

Also, today, when he has gone out he takes it slow so he is not getting sweaty and then going in & out--

It's been so long....I can't even remember what 70 feels like.
(Well, outside.....it's above 70 inside!)

Lucky you--we keep it at 68 or 69 in the house--(we don;t want to pay any higher of a gas bill than waht we get charged for THAT temperature

and not to feel bad too long, Cindy--the temperature in Illinois is famous for rapidly changing--from one extreme to another

Yes this is wonderful for January. I love it I am going to go out and walk around the gardens. It will probably shock the plants but my old bones are loving the heat.

Rain is not a good thing though, it has no where to go. The ground is absolutely frozen. It will just sit there until it freezes. Guess we'll be skating in the driveway lol

30*F here right now. It was 43 on Sunday and that was very nice for us this time of year! We went out and made a snowman and actually got too warm for our gear so had to take some off!! It was great! lol Down into the 20s by the weekend. I won't complain about that either. It is better than the -10 that we were having!

We hit 69 today, and 70 yesterday----broke records here too Barb! I'm not complaining at all, the rest of the week is all downhill until we are back to the 30's.

BTW, LOTS of my bulbs are poking up ALREADY! Sure hope they make it okay.
