Braggers, it's -39*C out there, that is -38*F for all of you. Now that's cold lol

Most of the neighbours cars wouldn't start this morning...it's common sense that you have to keep the heater block plugged in this time of year.

The vehicles in the area have a special heater pack that attaches to the engine. You keep your vehicle plugged in with an electrical cord to keep it warm enough to start....doesn't always work though. DH went to work today and they had the snow plows all plugged in but none would start either. We have to use a special oil and windshield washer fluid in this area as well.

Oh, it has warmed up to -37 by the way lol I swear, if you spit outside it would freeze before it hit the ground.

I think if I lived up there Tamara I'd never venture out of my bed! haha

Do most people have wood stoves up there?

It's sunny here and has warmed up to 22 degrees with a wind chill feel of 15 degrees.

last night was supposed to bring a sleet/snow storm of sorts--we got a small bit of sleet but only a sprinkling of snow---the powers that be were ready & treated roads well--so I think we are ok.

temps in the 20'a right now--but will go down to the teens and later today only up to 30-31 no mention of the wind chill

I almost got fried today since it was 100+- F here

There are such nice temperatures mentioned in this thread, I wouldn't mind spending a day in the snow...
