Prayers for all in need. I have a couple of prayer request if you don't mind. The first is for Kevin Owens my Ex Wife Sherrie's son had a mild stroke last week was sent home Saturday she just called to say they were taking him back with pneumonia as well as a high fever.
The other is for my girl friend Janet she came down sick yesterday throwing up etc. She got so bad the girls called me I went over and had to carry her back abd forth from her to to the bathroom she could not stand up all the Dr. did was to tell her to drink gatorade she is getting some better I come home to take care of my animals then go back top take care of her. Please say a prayer so she might get better soon. Thanks in advance.

Thanks Cindy Yes it's hard not being able to get there quickly,, Here it is 9:30 it takes 81/2 hours to get to Topeka, KS from Dallas,, My mom has been in the emergancy room for 5 Hours If I had left the same time they took her to the hospital I would be there about the same time they start testing her,, There should really be a better system for getting seen in the emergancy room madd

I am praying for all in need and I have a request too- for our little Nicoli-
he has been sick off and on the last few weeks- seems to come and go and now has been tested for a few things they thought it could be- but now they say his white blood cell count is way up and we are waiting for the last results to come in for more info- he seems to be fine most of the time but this is very worrying for all of us... he is going to be 3 next month.... and is small for his age (he was a premmie) and they say that may be part of it- they are testing for celiac disease and other things they haven't said anything about yet.... please keep us in your thoughts and prayers .....

Our little community is in need of big prayers:

Eight people killed in crash, Bathurst, N.B.

The RCMP are investigating an overnight crash which has claimed the lives of eight people.

Shortly after midnight on January 12, 2008, a school van carrying a high school basketball team from Bathurst returning home from a game in Moncton collided head-on with a transport truck on Highway 8 close to Highway 11 near Bathurst.

Seven boys between the ages of 15 and 18 were killed along with one adult woman. Four other people from the van were taken to hospital with unspecified injuries. The driver of the transport truck was not injured.

The cause of the crash is being investigated but roads were slippery at the time of the crash due to snow and freezing rain. The police are not releasing the names of the victims until their families have been
notified.

Media note - Sgt. Derek Strong, the RCMP's Media Relations Officer in New Brunswick will be available to the media for interviews regarding the crash at 2pm on January 12 at the Bathurst RCMP office, 900 Vanier Blvd. in Bathurst.

- 30 -

Sgt. Derek Strong

We've lost 5 boys who were graduating this year and a 15 and 16 year old, along with the coach's wife. Two more 17 year olds are in intensive care, one under observation and the coach's teen daughter has broken bones as well. It's been a long hard day..thanks for the prayers.

We were given two hands to hold, two eyes to see, two ears to listen & two legs to walk. But why were we given only one heart?
The other heart was given to another for us to find.

My cousin's daughter-in-law just had her third miscarriage today. They have one beautiful 3 year old son but she's had these three losses in the past two years and it is very hard to understand.

My heart really goes out to Merina because it is so painful to be a mother of loss. And of course, the entire family is just so sad.

Today there was just no heartbeat when she was at the doctor's office. Please pray for them as the docs figure out what needs to be done next... they'll have to decide in the next day or so.

Praying for all.....

still need some for our Nicoli- so far he hasn't had another episode of the vomiting so we are happy about that.. we got the results of his tests and it showed only the higher than normal white blood cell count so tomorrow they are doing blood tests for food allergies- he seems to be just fine today so we are more hopefull today.

I just got a call today that my uncle had a heart attack. My aunt said he's okay but will be in the hospital for a few days, I'll call her tomorrow to find out more.

One of my co-workers suddenly came down with a rare virus in her brain. People started noticing something wasn't right with her at work and they thought she had had a stroke. She is in ICU and has slipped into a coma. Doctor's don't think she'll make it and if she does they say she'll have permanent brain damage. I'm hoping the doctor's are proven wrong, she is only in her low 40's. (I'm not sure of her exact age, just that she's under 45)

As always, even though I often don't express it here, I'm thinking of you all and you're families.

Hi all,
Thanks to all for your prayers- we finally heard from the doctor about Nicoli.. nothing shows up- no allergies to food at all...they say he must have had an infection his body fought off on it's own.... they said to wait and see if he gets any other symtoms.... but so far so good.... very grateful for that.

Miracles do happen. That co worker I was telling you about that they thought was either not going to make it or would have brain damage, well, she's out of the hospital and she's fine. She's on some IV's at home and will be able to return to work in a couple of weeks. And my uncle is fine as well. He got to the clinic while he was still having the heart attack and they were able to admit him right away. He had 2 stents put in and there is no damage to his heart. He will just have to start taking cholestorol medication. He just got back from Iraq last month and the heart attack gave his girls quite a scare.

For those of you who have been praying for my friend Tamah with the ovarian cancer, I have some really GOOD NEWS!

Yesterday was her big surgery and when they got in there... after months and months of tests and scans... they found no cancer! She had another problem and so they did remove everything along with some suspicious lymphs, but the docs think she is going to be just fine!

She is being kept painfree through the IV and her parents aren't having trouble keeping her calm and rested. As you may recall, Tamah is severely retarded and can get quite difficult when her happy routine is interrupted. So far, everything is turning out well although she still doesn't really understand what it is all about.

Thanks.

Merme

prayers for everyone! kissie

Please pray for the Wilkinson family, of which Rab Wilkinson owned the bowling alley i coach/bowl/hang out at all the time... he himself hadn't actually been there in a while, but his son, Frankie took over as owner, whom of which i know pretty well. Rab got very sick years ago from constantly inhaling fumes and particles from drilling bowling balls, and developed some type of lung problems, and had been on oxygen for some time.

Here's the obituary:

RIP Rab!

I'm going to the wake from school tomorrow with my family[who are close with the family as well], and probably on tuesday as a group with all of the other coaches from the bowling alley.

Thanks, everyobe kissie

I didn't do very well on them. I almost failed my chemistry (68) but I did better than I expected in bio (86) Latin, music went pretty well (87 and 85 respective) and just 78 or 80 in French. Design tech was another 68, and math was a 77. English was a 74. I don't know what they did to my midterm marks but they should stay about the same. We get our report cards this Friday I think. I should have studied better for Chem and Tech, if I wasn't to overconfident. But what's done is done.

I would really appreciate everyone's thoughts and prayers for Jeremy right now. He has been having chest pains for the past couple of weeks. He's one of the stubborn types that will not go to the doctor. This morning he said it was hurting really bad and he finally decided to go to an urgent care center. He's on his way now.

Please pray for family members of mine. Today is the beginning of 6 weeks of major operations and treatments and could use united prayers. Also pray for the supporter of this family member, they are carrying a lot on their shoulders as two members of that family is going thru similar illness and could use prayers of strength and endurance to help ease the stress of it all.

Would I look selfish if I asked for prayers for myself?

You see im having a rough time at the moment. My best friend died on Boxing Day and I miss her so much.
Then last week I was out at the supermarket where I collapsed and was rushed to Hospital. I was confused, dizzy and couldnt speak sensibly. My son was terrified as his friends Dad recently died of a brain tumour, and he too couldnt talk properly.
The diagnosis although not conclusive was a TIA or mini stroke. Its left me feeling low in energy and has knocked my confidence, Im afraid that it might happen again.

It's not at all selfish to need prayers. You have to remember you owe it to yourself and your loved ones that you take care of you. I hope everything works out for you. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.
