whoo hoo! my hubby bought me a new green house! its a 6x8 im puttin it up by the shed and their is a silver maple tree on the other side of it but im not worried about the shade cause i only be using it in spring for seedlings and such!! ill post a pic when i can, still have to finish putting it together, the frame and shelves are up! whoo hoo SHELVES! lol i didnt have shelves in my old one, so im excided about the shelves!!!
I wanna see pictures! My hubby said that is a MUST for me next spring - as we have seedlingsgrowing out of our ears in the house!
Question - since I'm in the good ol North Dakota (still have snow here and in the 20s during the day!), how does a green house work up here? I know it will have enough heat during the day as my folks have a screenhouse they 'wrap' during the winter and right now it gets like 70-80 degrees out there, but how about at night? Do you have to have a space heater or something?

exactly. some use wood stoves to give it a boost at night too.
i still havent finished it, lol i can get a pic of the frame lol, i do have a small space heater, gonna run a cord to it, :) ill get a pic of the fram tomarrow, :)
When I lived in Washington State I had a small electric heater than I ran out to the solarium to heat it until we got the electric going out there. It worked real well.
ok heres the frame :) its not gonna be that close to the tree, i still need to get gravel to put down, :) greenhouse.jpg" alt="[Linked Image]" class="post-image" style="height:auto!important;max-width:100%!important;"/>
yea tammy i thought the little heater should be good enough, to keep it warm at nights. they do work good, we keep them, and a karoseen heater for if the furanace breaks down or the eletrics out, we had a few ice/ snow storms when they came in handy. :)
thanks! i cant wait till its done! weezie we have these poeple who come to the fair grounds once a year its just mainly a big tool sale, my hubby saves up and gose to it every year he got it for 100 bucks. lol he kept hinting around they had one there, then when he picked me up from work it was in the back of the truck! :)
we just made our last payment for morashas school field trip, so were hoping we can get gravel for the driveway by the end of the month, hopefuly before all the rain and mud get here! so it should be done soon :)
