Hello,
This is Skylight. I am new to this site, and I am an avid plant lover. I live in NYC and have a skylight above most of my plants. It gives me great light all year and sun in the summer. I have an Irish Shamrock I bought 2 years ago. It has been doing terrific until now. In the past I had a lot new growth and flowers all year long. Within the last month all the leaves (Reddish) have died and no flowers. I am down to my last leave with no new growth. Is this the end of my plant or is this normal?

it could be going through its dormancy period, but if for some reason, it's not, :
Have you changed the plants watering routine lately?
have you moved its location?
maybe it needs a bigger pot?
fertilizer/new soil?
all those could be plausible options to consider

I looked at the Shamrock site. It's great. Since I had the plant for 2 years the first year it didn't seem to go into a dormacy period. Maybe that is waht is happening now. It is under the Skylight and gets no sun. Should I not water it and keep it there or move it to a darker area?

I looked at the site Cindy mentioned. It's great. But I am still confused. It is still under the skylight, (But no sun until summer) I did give it a shot of liquid fertilizer last week. still nothing. Should I stop watering for a month? Should I move it to a darker area?

Hey Cindy do you know anything about Crown of Thorns? I could use some help there as well.

on the shamrock stu, cut the water back so that it is dry, but not dried out. for about a month or so, then when it gets more light and water, it should come back like gangbusters!
