I say the more frogs the merrier---and the 'singing' of them should be calming.
it would put me into the mind of being out camping. and camping always relaxes me.--
DH sold the camper though-- tears

Thats sad.

He would never make it on the farm.We love to run around in the rain.
Everyone goes out to watch it when we get floods..........

Many a day we get caught in it.
However ......like you say .. It was not good to sleep in wet beds.

yikes

NO Barb--we lived on a 5 acre "farmette" for about 25 years. he is a hard worker and took very good care of the 5 acres. in fact that is one of the reasons we moved. he was working 60 hr weeks and felt he could not do the farm justice. I am still sad. The people who bought it turned it into a dumping area.

It is just that when things go wrong like that, he is just done with whatever surronds it.

EXample: he was painting the living room for me out at "The farm" (that is what we called it) he was using a self feeding paintbrush. Well apparently he had not sealed it up properly when he filled it this one time. paint spilled all over the floor, the nice, old fashioned, varnishd woodwork and on our very large wooden stero speaker. he looked at i t and walked out of the house. I just got out my bucket & ck=laned it all up. Since I started so soon, it all cleaned up like it did not happen save the very slighteset bit on a small area of the grain on the one speaker.

He is a good man, it is just that he was not raised correctly. A spoiled kid who was not made to do things. When something of this nature happens he is just "done" with it. he was never taught to take what is handed you and work with it.

I had Rod open it back up when we got home, I took the foam cushoins out of the zippered cases & dried them all out in the sun. I figure the whole camper got washed out well when this happened. I even took down the curtains & washed them.

About Rod not going camping any more.
he said I was wrong & that he just did not think he needed to be taking his family on to float trips, only to have thm subjected to the 'language' that the people use these days. makes sense but then he is good at rationalizing.

I used to backpack around the country and would live in a tent for two weeks at a time every night I would be in a different location hundreds of miles from the previous one.

Wasn't a Hobo. Was a college student. Back in the 70's it was fairly safe to hitchhike. I would spend my Summer vacations hitchhiking around the U.S. to personally see some of the things I had been studying. I would carry several hundred dollars in travellers checks hidden on me and keep a small amount of cash. I could go maybe 500 miles a day. I would spend a few days in the Appalachian Mountains and then head West to the Rockies to do a comparison. The biggest surprise was that the Rocky Mountains around Denver are bright, salmon, PINK!!

The Rockies up in Idaho are gray. Here are the Rocky Mountains in the front yard of the house I stayed at in Mackay, Idaho in 1966. Sacajawea was born on the other side of these mountains, I've heard.

Where is the fish hatchery? In the little out house?
I guess the rockies or whatever depend on the volacanic action.......What they leave behind in one place is clear different then another.

We were very jealouse of Iowas farm land....No stone there.. And such fertile land ......black and fertilized like no other .. My how wonderful the land is .

The Fish hatchery is right behind the photographer. The house I stayed in was on the other side of the hatchery but within 50 yards of the photographer. My father was in the Army with the man who became the head of the fish hatchery and they invited me out to spend the Summer, so I went. It was one of the best summers of my life!
