The 27th is her daughther's - her 18th birthday.

Know what .....My sis in law has birthday on October 1.......And mine is October 31.

My mother in law used to say,"The month went from Bad to Worse". Sis in law gets mad if you say that to her .. I laugh.

Happy Birthday Willy!!!!

Before I show the pictures of the birthday party, I want to show the pictures of Traveling Willy's boat ride. It was not a paddle wheeler as I first thought but a steamship instead. The name of the boat is The Spirit of Jefferson beacuse Louisville is in Jefferson County.

The day was windy and my daughter did not want TW to fall over board so she only got two pictures.

The first is a closeup in his chair and the second is TW and the view he had while sitting in the chair turned correctly.

Cooooooool I stayed up to see this , Glad I checked before going to bed!!,, Looks like it's rather cold there on the boat,, Where's his blankie

Tell My Niece Thankyou for keeping him safe on board!!

Now the Birthday Party!!!!!

As I said before, TW was with my daughter so we, (the other gnomes and I) had time to plan a surprise party. here they are with everything set up. They worked very hard on the surprise signs.




I told TW I had a surprise for him and told him he had to wear a blindfold. He wasn't happy about that since he had never done it before but he agreed.



I case you are wondering: the gnomes at my house are very proud that they live in Oldham County KY and wanted to share that with you.

TW has never been soo surprised. In fact he fell over from all the excitment!

Allllllll Right A blind folded Willy!! That is great Glenda!! What a party!!!


Dang Did he bang his head!!! Pooooooor T WIlly!!!! That was quite a surprise for a 203 year old!

When I asked the gnomes on the planning committee what kind of cake to have they isisted I have a Hostess SuzyQ. They said that is the height of gnome loved cakes. So that what I got.

After TW recovered I expained that I was very sorry not the have 203 candles and he reassured me that he did not want 203 candles. In fact, he said that 203 candles could be a fire hazard!!!

He told me he wanted only 1 candle. Why, I asked. Because this is the first birthday party he has ever had and wanted to celebrate with one candle for that reason. It was my turn to be surprised and readily agreed.

He asked the other gnomes to gather round to help him blow it out and they happily complied.

The other gnomes quickly showed TW his card. Oh, he exclaimed. All my friends here and on the garden forum too. This is wonderful!!!!

awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww How sweet,,,,, He got his own real BD Party,, what a cool Hostess you are!!,, He'll remember this forever!! Wonderful Memory of KY,, First Place he traveled to,came back to KY and had His 1st BD Party!,

TW's head is just fine, no damage he said.

As the party progressed a stranger appeared. Who is it? All those inquiring minds wanted to know.



It's Cousin Fred, all the way from the mountains! TW and Fred have not seen each other for over 100 years. The tears were flowing.

As the party wound down, TW asked for one last picture with him and Fred. Cousin Fred has to leave and return to the montains soon. This is the last picture of the party, all the gnomes are tired and have gone to bed.
