Good Morning ,
Just had breakfast and read the paper- ready for a nap - when Joe wakes up I will get one I hope... we have a Dr appt today for Mom's MRI... she dressed herself today- mostly- needed help with the pants but was mostly her...
I have to get her to let me cut her nails too- will have to soak them but that will wait for this afternoon I think- got some exercises to do too that the therapsist suggested- upper body with 2lb weights...
I have to call her Doctor today and get a case manager set up too to start the qualifying for Medicaid- then start putting her on the lists for the care facilities- I don't know how long I can keep this not sleeping up, I am not doing very well.. have started hurting a whole lot and thats from lack of steady sleep ... not good. I don't do well unless I can sleep all thru the night .
Well off to see if she wants to come down and do her exercises .

Unfortunately, she isn't home yet, but hopefully it will be soon (a couple more days?). The doctors keep talking about her spending some time in a convalescent center before she gets to come HOME, but Rachel and I object to that idea and I KNOW that Cindy won't like it a bit!

Well what the heck can they do there that you can't do for her at home? Except give her a big bill.....and heck if I think about it, nevermind---maybe I shouldn't say my thought.....good self control on my part there. lol

I think, fingers crossed, that we are done with snow here now.....highs for the next 10 days are in the 40's and 50's---mostly 50's.

So very glad to hear that Cindy is back on the road to recovery. But please take care of her Bill.

And we all know that Cedar Hill & Bill, Lola & Shadow are very good for Cindy.-----as long as she does not over do---

NO flying lawn chairs for Cindy--ever---right???

Sheri (Bestofour) sent me a "Hang in There" card. It was so very nice of her to think of me. it really made my day all bright & cheery. Smiling and feeling good inside is always a good thing. I think my stomach feels better for receiving it. Thanks, Sheri!!!!

And I promise not to "hang", 'cause yea, that would really hurt. egad

Bless you for being so thoughtful. kissie

Oh, what a sweet card.

My card to Cindy came back to me as 'undeliverable as addressed' again. Gee. This time I resent it to Bill's address. I don't understand why things keep getting sent back? Maybe Cindy sent me the wrong address before Christmas.

well I have done it----and I am here to say my aspargagus transplanted well.

besides, what have you got to lose ?? if you don't try it they are gone to you--if you try it and it fails, they are gone---so I say give it a try because that way at least you have a chance !!!!!!!

Hi everyone ~

Tonight at dialysis they told me I can switch to the daytime schedule beginning this Friday. So now I will be leaving at 11:30 AM and getting home around 5 PM on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. That is a MUCH better schedule than the 3:30 PM to 10 PM I've been on! Now when Maxi is ready to return home, he'll be able to without any chaos surrounding childcare.

We had a successful meeting at Maxi's school yesterday. I explained what's happened and the decisions we've had to make as a family in Maxi's best interest. They are 100% supportive and have pledged to provide all of Maxi's transportation to and from school although he is living in another district and could be told to change schools. But they love Maxi and want him to finish the school year in his own school. That's a big relief because with all the other changes, I didn't want him to also lose his school right now.

Bit by bit we are managing to get things back in some sort of order and life is starting to feel more normal again!

Merme

The daytime schedule will be much better for you and for Maxi, Merme. I am glad the school is working with you too. Small changes at a time for Maxi sound like the best plan. He has gone through a lot with your health issues already. I hope it all goes smoothly.

breakfastMorning,
We had breakfast and I am heading for my cup of tea soon- and some toast too I think.. Mom insisted on getting herself up last night for the bathroom - she did really well, except I wake up and listen to make sure--- so I am ready for a nap.
Merme- so glad you got a better schedule for you and Maxi... will work out so much bettr for you.
Well gotta go get my tea and rest some; have a therapist coming this afternoon again... did get ahold of social services and they are sending an app for medicaid- then we get to go down Tues- thru Thurs. at 7 in the morning- they take the first 24 in line- is that dumb or what- ? why can't they just make an appt and have done with it.. no wonder people give up trying to get the benifits they are intitled to.

Good morning everyone ~

We have an overcast day here and it is suiting my mood.

I apparently spoke too soon when I said I'd been put on the daytime dialysis schedule. They called me back at 8 this morning to tell me that it wasn't possible right now after all, all apologies. The woman I was going to switch with had some sort of set back and isn't stable enough to be on the evening schedule although she wants it. So we have to wait until either she stabilizes or another slot opens up.

I'm a Gloomy Gus therefore.

Today I am going to attempt a little housecleaning, taking it at an easy pace. My goal is to load the dishwasher with the few things in the sink and to clear off the kitchen table. I always make such a mess on the table... papers, mail, medication bottles, miscellaneous stuff that clutters up the thing until I get tough and put it all away.

Merme

Wow, Merme, that is a bummer about the switch to days! boohoo Hang in there, something will open up for you soon.

I can't believe it's overcast there, it's so bright and sunny here. Outside is calling me, but like you I've got some dishes to do and a messy kitchen table clutter to clean up. Just finished folding all the laundry grin. Maybe I'll just slip outside for a minute and have a smoke, then chores notme lol

Lynne, how are you feeling today??? I had the flu in February and man, it was killer.

Hi Mel ~

We've been having small snow squalls also... just amounting to dustings overnight in recent nights. I will be so glad when all that stops! although it is a favorite pasttime to complain about the weather!

This time of year is tough though. Anxious for it to be really spring yet still so much snow on the ground and iffy skies overhead.

Glad you have sunshine!

Merme

Hi Merme, sorry about the delay in your switching times. Hopefully something will open up soon for you.

Can you keep the snow though, you usually send it to me after your done with it? grin

'afternoon all

I spent most of the morning snoozing in and out - it was much needed.

Merme, I'm sorry you've had a little set-back, but hopdfully you will get another day slot very soon.

Hiya mel - I am definitely getting better - thanks for asking. The worst of it now is that darn tickle cough in the back of the throat that keeps me up hacking allllllllll night long!

We are supposed to have temps. lower than normal for the next 7-10 days!!!
Talk about a gloomy forecast! We might even get some snow mixed in with the rain tomorrow or Saturday - are we having fun yet? No wonder everyone is sick here!

I have been so busy. I feel like I am running all of the time. I have not posted nearly so often as before. But I do read most of what is happening. Someday my life might settle back into a gentle routine that I can handle with more grace. Right now I just feel frazzled.
