I'm sorry I haven't gotten back on here. I have had a rough day....and been asleep in the bed or in the recliner most of it. I haven't even had the energy yet to open my cards and packages...they are still stacked up here. This is my first day without morphine and it's rough...the pain is pretty intense.
Thank you for your prayers.
Cindy I was wondering about you not having the Morphine and IV with you. Be cool and try hard to relax ...No hurry on reading cards and letters.
YOu can do it . We have faith in you . Thanks for showing up.
Good to see you on here Cindy! I'm so sorry you are having so much pain though - everyone is right - you need to just rest and take care of yourself. The cards and packages aren't going anywhere.
I hope you have a decent night's rest, and feel renewed in the morning. I'm off to bed now, but will check in as soon as I get up in the morning.
Sleep as much as you need to. Rest is the best think for you.
I'm sorry your morphine is all gone, I hope you have some good painkillers.
Ohhhhhhh CIndy No need to apologize for not being here,, we totally understand! It's got to be rough without the morphine, I don't know how they'd expect you to go home with out something equally as strong or real close to it for your first few days,, and then go ease your way into something on a lower schedule, . We know you can get thru this ,, try to relax as much as you can, the ride home I'm sure did some slight jarring and it will take time to adjust to physically move around unlike the way you did at the hospital, Bless your Heart,, I wish I could just Poof you over some morphine to get you thru the night just believe each day will be a little easier My Friend!
We love ya and still praying for pain relief, and healing!

Cindy, it was ever so nice to see you posting. But I too think your rest & health comes first. I also agree the gifts & cards will be there when you DO feel strong enough to be opening them. Please do not push.
in a few days when you do not want/need to sleep all the time, and that will happen, we will be here to keep you company so you can sit quietly and not over do.
and yes, I too wish you a good nights rest.--- and in your own sweet bed, i am sure you will sleep well.

Life isn't about how to survive the storm, but how to dance in the rain!! .....
cindy, i'm SO glad that you're home!! that's is just so wonderful - i can just imagine how ecstatic you are!!
i can also imagine just how exhausted too!! you never realize just how much energy it takes to walk across a room until you've been laid up for a while!! so, please!! pace yourself...no need to rush anywhere or rush to complete any task.
slow and steady stays the course.
and lots of sleep - natures way for the body to recuperate.
Cindy, I agree with everyone- continued prayers for a good and healthy recovery... slow like the turtle is just fine- everyday will be a little easier for you... and Bill will make sure you get all your rest ..wonderful to be home with your man ..right? You post as you feel able and enjoy making the cards and pkgs last for weeks if you want- Christmas can come everyday for a while that way.... Nana
yep, ditto to all that said. just get back to taking care of you, everything else can wait. i don't think any of us could handle you getting a setback right now. squeeky wheel gets the grease, if you are in too much pain, bill can petition for stronger meds to get you thru this bumpy transition. cyber-hugs (gently) coming your way. glad you are home!

all good advise But NO work for Cindy--Your work should be holding a coffee mug--or a glass of water---, do not even pull a chari around.-- you would be surprised how much everthihng you do pulls at your stomach muscles.-- Even getting out of/into a chair--use your arms.--
Love you and please take care.

I am just thrilled beyond belief knowing that when I woke up this morning, Cindy was at home! PLEASE..........take it slow, maybe open a package everyday.........? Make the celebration of being home last as long as you like! Love you!
Cindy, so very glad you are home. , bless your heart. Sure is no place like home, to recooperate in your own bed and surroundings, and what beautiful surroundings Bill has for you! As everyone said, take it SLOW and EASY, please? Healing comes with time, and it will come. God has answered our prayers, praise the Lord!
Cindy, I pray that with each day come healing and that you will be back to yourself in a very short time. Like everyone else have said on the board, take it easy and don't try to rush things. Hugs and prayers going your way.

good point!!
i was referring to her comment about not having the energy to read the cards...hadn't even thought so far ahead as to getting back to work!
She is still hurting. As you all know almost every movement involves your stomach muscles. And that makes her hurt. She is still really tired and weak. But she is very determined. I'm sure she won't over do it, but I know she will work as hard as she can to get her strength back. This whole process is difficult for her physically and mentally. I'm so happy she has the moral and spiritual support from all of you to help her deal with what has happened. It means a lot.

If you never have you should. These things are fun and fun is good.
She been thu bundles. One day at a time. Keeping nice an warm helps, and we are trying to be warm friends.
I lit another candle for her. I am sure you miss her after all the time you were there. YOu will be there in better times again, and Brennen and Jeremy.
Bet Shadow and Lola went snakey when they seen her. They would remember.
Take it easy also.. GOd bless you for helping mom.
AWWWWWWWWW Cindy - I'm so glad you have a surgeon who is also a human being!!! It's awfully nice that he is so attached to you - makes him look out for your welfare better!
And I repeat once again... the cards and packages aren't going anywhere, and neither are we... so stop worrying about them and you'll get to them as you can. The MOST important thing is taking care of yourself and getting all the rest you can.
Ohhhhhhhh Cindy,, Now That is a Dr that genuinely and sincerely cares about his patients.. God Bless Him!
God didn't have a choice but to listen,, you name was called out many times each day by sooooooo many of us,,! He heard us and decided we needed you here with us!
Girllllll those cards and packages aren't going anywhere,, let them sit until you're ready,, All you need to know is that they were all sent with Love and Prayers !

...and if it takes me as long to get back to 'work' as it is opening these cards and packages, I guess it will be years from now.
I feel so bad that I have all these cards and packages sitting here still, and haven't had the energy to open them.....I can't stay up long without gettingreally weak.
I had to go to the surgeon today, and (this is gonna make me cry again)...but as soon as he walked in the room he grabbed me and hugged me...and started crying...and said I was a miracle. He told me he prayed for me constantly. He said it was truly a miracle that I am alive today I told him that there were people praying hard, all over the world, for me. We had a pretty emotional visit.
I hope I can start opening these cards, etc. soon.
Thank you for continuing to pray for me.
Cindy
Cindy---what I had was no where near as severs as yours but it is 3 months for methis last round & I still don't do much more than cook supper & I am just now washing some dishes.--Dh still does all my lifting---& all the rest of hte work--even outside.
Not to worry about the cards & such we can be patient--and if you can't, tellBill he has to open them for you and then you can look at them---just have him open a few a day, whileyou are lying down, but awake. it will be like a birthday party each day !!! Lola & shadow can watch too.
and that was pretty intense about the dr. But it was also so nice to hear. It is nice to see that you have such a caring dr.
take care--& know that we all love you.
