I'm getting ready to plant strawberries and I think (I'm old you know and my memory ain't what it used to be) that you said one time you mow over yours. Did I make that up?

Yup, I did. I set the blade a little higher and mowed over them to clean them up....make sure you don't mow the crowns though.

Strawberry plants are the toughest plants. I've moved them in spring, summer and fall. I've also dug some up and threw them in the hay field and they rooted themselves there.

I let them run wild in a plot then just replace them with new plants about every 5 years...I find it works best. I've done the snip the flowers the first year then save the babies and throw away the mommas lol but plants are so cheap here that I start new every now and then as well.

~~Tam~ You can bury all your troubles by digging in the dirt.
