glad to have you here......this secret gift swap is kind of like a name drawing, you join in it, post your likes, and one of the hostesses gives you your name and the waiting begins! it is like christmas, but more exciting cause nobody knows who has who and then you get the package in the mail. it is soooo fun! there is a medical side effect though, some of us have had small heartattacks and strokes from the anticipation of it all! hahahaha it may be too late for you to join in on this one, but check anyway. if you missed it, be sure to watch for the next one!
I have a decent sized box here and I tried to stick the stuff I already have in it and it won't fit...I need a bigger box! And I haven't even bought stuff KNOWING who I have yet. I mean once I find out I'll have to buy more.
Do we ever get to know who our mystery gift-giver is? Or are we supposed to keep it secret forever? I'm getting excited too--I'm a little worried--I haven't even begun shopping, and here some of you have already need a bigger box!

sarah, when you get your gift, they will have put their name on it, (as you will for the one you send out) and you post pictures if you can, and tell us all that @#$#@ got you @#%$#@ and @#$#@$ etc.
Don't worry Sarah, I'm just excited and got a jump start on a few things because I went out on a big shopping trip and I had money. I'm the resident shopaholic. Most people probably haven't started yet.......

I printed up my person's questionair, and now I have a car that's fixed and I can go shopping tomorrow, whoohoo! I'm so excited. Jiffy says I sound like a kid on the phone, I've actually heard that before. Oh well it should make it really hard for people to guess my age as I get older.

I'm so excited. We're going out to the local Mennonite relief sale. It's got a lot of garden plants/stuff, crafty stuff, and (my favorite) quilts for sale. Plus everything in between. And a lot of it is homemade, which is awesome. All the money raised goes to the Mennonite charity which helps out with different disaster relief efforts around the world. So, not only am I shopping, but I'm helping other people out and getting gifts. Yup, I'm a good multi-tasker. Saving the world, one purchase at a time.
Was going to do some shopping today but my bleeping car is bleeping broken again and I had to have it towed, AGAIN, to the shop! :mad: I'm so mad right now.
I know! That's what makes me so mad, the breakdown today is related, so now they have to fix whatever mistake they made for free. This is the first time I've ever had to take my car back to them, so that's good at least, and they gave me a ride home from the shop. Still a bummer though, won't be able to do any shopping til next weekend now and I was really looking forward to it. Maybe I'll just do some online shopping.
I picked up a &*^$&&% for my buddy today and I am just dying to figure out what else I'm going to buy! It's a lot more fun to shop for other people, normally, I hate shopping. I'm actually enjoying this--much to my husband's chagrin.
I don't know if I'll be wrapping mine, but they will definitely be gently covered with some appropriately colored tissue. I really like tissue paper. Don't really know why... Can you send a colored box through the mail? Like, if you wrapped it in wrapping paper and put a large white address thing on the front??
I was shopping last night and I have almost everything to send to my person! I am so excited! Just need a couple little things and then it will be sent! I am really on the ball last time. I definitely was not ready this early last time!
My person didn't say whether or not they liked candles. Is there anyone who doesn't like candles? I have some I made and they're rose scent and I'd like to send one but not sure if they would like it or not. I guess I'll just take my chances. And the little thing I already bought I don't know that my person will like that either. That's okay, I know others who would so maybe someone will be getting a little suprise in the mail.
I think I may be done with shopping~~~ But you know that feeling that something is missing and can't quite put your finger on it?? this person is kinda hard I have soo many questions still of likes and dislikes. I'm like you Cheryl ,,, Just have to take my chances..

I think that it's nice that we answer the questions of likes/dislikes, but heck....I'm always happy with anything as I think most of us are....
The best part of this is the giving---I mean I like the receiving too , don't get me wrong but I'd never be upset with anything I got from one of you all. It'd all be special to me!
I have no clue if my person will like some of the stuff I've bought--but that's what they're getting! I'm not gonna sweat it!
