We've had a thread going for knitting for quite some time now, so I thought I'd start one where we can share our crochet projects.

This it what I finished this week - they were easy and I think cute!

do you know about Louet Yarns Pattern Subscription Service ~ If you're interested in this I can send you the email I received. You can have access to all their patterns. It's not free.

Very cute cacti, Lynne! And you never have to water them and they don't look prickly at all, my kind of cactus!

Thanks everyone!

Mel - some of the cutest pictures I have seen of this pattern has straight pins stuck all over the cactus - the kinds with the colorful balls on the ends - too cute!!!

Sheri - I have not heard of that, but for now I only doing free patterns - thanks for the idea though.

Anyone else have crochet projects to share?

I wish I could link to those pictures, but the site I go to is by invitation only and we are unable to do any links. People have been using them for pin cushions - again - tooooo cute!

I bought an N size hook yesterday and started crocheting a new blanket with Red Heart Bay Print yarn....it's blues.

Making in in a double crochet---got a pretty good start on it already. thumbup

No I didn't.....I couldn't find the yarn I was using way back then. lol

So I started fresh.....let me do a few more rows and then I'll post a pic!

I forgot how bad crocheting makes my hands ache. rspb

Thanks for posting it loz! You're doing a great job!
Who is this for? It goes nicely with the jeans underneath it!

lol It does go with jeans well huh? lol

Thanks you two, it's actually for my best friend...but it's a big secret---I'll hold on to it until Christmas. I've made just about everyone and their brother blankets, but I've never made one for her. egad

I told her the other day I bought her something that was a surprise and I had to work on it and she wouldn't get it for a long time....she was like LOZ, that's so not fair----what is it. haha

That picture actually isn't a fair representation. I folded the length over and if you look in the middle where it looks different that's one end joined up to the other to show it off better.....I made it quite long so each row takes me a while---my wrist aches after doing it a bit---the right one is the one I broke in 3 places years ago. rspb

Nice Loz, I prefer the mixed colored yarn also.. I crochet, but the holes in the hat kept me cold. I bought one this year, with thinsulation .. Is there such a thing as thinsulation yarn?

Sorry your wrist hurts so much when you crochet, loz, but I can surely sympathize what with having sprained my right thumb years ago - it's never been the same.

Did you mean to say that it was "baby" yarn? Or is it really "bay" yarn?

Thanks Jess. I hope she likes it, and the colors.....I like the multi color yarn because I get bored just doing a solid color.

Nope Lynne, not baby yarn....the actual color name on the tag is Bay Print. thumbup

Ohhhhhhh ok - gotcha. It's just that when I did a google search for "Red Heart Bay Print yarn" the other day, nothing came up except for "baby". Don't need the search now that you posted the picture.

How's it coming?

Very nice indeed. It must take a lot of yarn for a large blanket.

Very nice, Jiffy. I know you struggle with your sausage fingers lately. Keep them moving when you can or you lose more of the motion. (and get a door knob you can open with your elbow)
You really are doing some good work there.

Those are really nice blankets and pillows......

I used to crochet lots, but now everyone seems to sneeze with yarn .. So I gave up.

I love the colors of both also.

What stitch did you use?

the blanket was a crazy stitch pattern using double crochet and the pillow is double crochet with a dropped triple to make the pattern. i think it looks almost like a hound's tooth pattern in the picture.

I like the way it looks......Nice pattern.. Looks real warm. I stick an afghan between the covers in the winter.. They are warm.

Love your colors too.. I am a brown , beige decorator , and white.

Not into loud colors in my rooms
Good hobby.
