They look fantastic Diane! Once again, your gardening talent shines through with the plants wanting to grow for you. I'm thinking that you might still have time to see them all bloom since your growing season is longer there?
I'll have to look up the snowcone flower - I'm not familiar with that one?

I don't think Washington is a good place for Brugs. Mine haven't grown much since Diane sent them to me.
It's because you haven't been feeling well enough to love and kiss them like you usually do. :ding: But - mine haven't done very well this year either.

Buds are starting to open open on a brug,, I had believed it was the snowcone well I thought it was but the bloom is yellow,, it may be the pale yellow brug ,, it didn't bloom last year at all, but then again,, it takes a couple of days for the bloom to achieve it's true color after blooming.

I have two pink ones that just finished their first small flush of blooms, and my white one bloomed as well...kinda disappointing as it was supposed to be a double white when i bought it...turned out to be a single

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant. Mary Ann LaPensee
Wow ...angelblossom , is that Gigantic ......Mine will never do that .. Just getting blossoms on 3 foot tall. It was huge indoors last fall an d I took it in the basement.
Dodge give it as much sunlite as possible all year it will get bigger and bigger ,, occasionally pull a leaf off here and there,, it will encourage it to grow taller,,

mine never really die back all the way I cut them within 6 inches from the ground right after the first hard frost then cover with a bucket of leaves, until late feb,,,,
For you ....... You can dig them up * if in ground* and pot up for the winter,, remember IF they are in ground in the spring and summer they will bloom better for you,,* IF in a pot they will be fine to bring on in,,,,, good light on them they will soak the sun up happily,,,,,, and will probably loss a few leaves,,
Hummers are still here I put a new window feeder on my bedroom window and one has discovered it,,, I will leave it there all winter for the HB's south window, under an eve,,, so it will be protected from the cold or freezing!,,

I have heard different things on hummers in this area,, This will be the first year I will have 2 feeders out all winter so we shall see,, I doubt this far north in Tx I will see one in the dead of winter,, I imagine far south TX they will see them in winter,, nearer Mexico,
