weather here in Arkansas friday was bad, they said 7 killed in tornado's,

this story is from a local news paper

a tornado came with in a mile of my house friday I was gone to school at the time to pick ashley up





the top story, this morgan auto sales is less then a mile from my house

I didn't know when I was at school if I'd have a house to come home to it crossed the highway just down the road from my house and moved across an open field, then hit this business (and housing area) over next to our water tower the jumped and then jumped another major high way and proceeded across another open field.

That is scary! I'm glad you are okay though. I don't have to worry about tornado's here, just earthquakes.

Glad your both ok now......Last time we went out west , we were chased by one.. We managed to stay away......Wasnt fun.

I don't think I could live somewhere that gets lots of tornado activity. I'm too chicken.

yep I was at the school the whole time and was glad I still had a house when I got home.

traffic has been awful down my road since it happened. usually we have no traffic and now we have tons circling the block to see everything, and friday they had everyone come this way to go home

We sit on the New Medrid, Missour fault line, and we get earth quakes all the time, small ones under 5.0

We have little ones all the time but unless they are big enough to be felt they are never reported. We have had some nasty windstorms though, so I sort of understand what a tornado would kind of be like.

we have the straight line winds all the time too, they are cutting way too many trees.

Get out there and plant some more trees...
That is one thing I worried of when we went out West 9 times.. How come there are no trees around these huge farms......I told HD the tornados took them.

Scared the life out of me.
He wanted to move to Iowa......i said No way.

to me they just cut way too many trees and the dust up where my mom lives is horrible

Tell them to replace the ones they cut.

they (the farmers) are the cutters and they want the land cleared and leveled. to me it's not a good idea I keep thinking about the duyst bowl days you know

Shame on them..........Playing hogs when they have all that land out there......

Belinda--i am sooo glad that you and yours are ok.

I too am near the New madrid fault line. (we are about 40 miles NE of St./ Louis) here a few weeks ago--or less we got hit by a earthquake over by the indiana side of IL. For the life of me I cannot rememver the name of the fault line--but my DD's were woke up by it, & called me. We and our Dog would have slept thru it.

have not had a tornado here in awhile--although we have a lot of warnings--we have just been fortunate, and they have not dropped down by us in quite awhile.

Glad your okay Belinda ,, I was wondering about Vanessa (isn't she still in Arkansas??), and Comfrey when I heard it on the news,,
