Mel, I'll try to get some seeds. It's so funny to see all the white ones and then to have this red sticking out there and now it looks like another red is about to pop.
Tamata Where ever did you find that flower??? I love how it changes colors and the center appears to be ,,, smiling??" that one is rare indeed ,, Niceeeeeeee!

thanks lynne. that rose is the most neglected, ignored plant i have. i almost never dead head. don't remember the last time i fed it. and it blooms all summer. i'm going to try to remember to dead head and feed it. but it is such a happy plant. and that shot just seemed to be the perfect picture
This year I am partial to orange flowers, though I've not preferred them much before. Except for the few that I grew around my bathtub pond 2 years ago to match the goldfish.
I'm doing the same thing this year for the larger pond with fish.
Here are some zinnias I just had to have - they really are that bright, and it's hard to get a good picture of that color!
Can't remember the name of this one - got it about 2 years agon - it's a perennial.
I like those too Lynne! BTW Lynne thank you for the pineapple sage seeds you sent,, I planted them in February I believe, and they are now blooming!
This is black mondo Bill gave me in Cedar hill,, I have divided and planted in two different areas and it is now blooming too!
all my lavender is growing huge and blooming I have this in 5 areas between the front and back yard.. and I have different varieties of it,, this variety always seems to grow larger and bloom longer than the rest and doesn't die back in the colder months here.

Diane - the pineapple sage looks so healthy! WOW! The fact that you can plant them in February - Also the fact that it's blooming for you now!!! It never blooms here until mid-September and by then the hummingbirds are usually on their way to points south, so the biggest reason for my planting them is a wash-out.
Though I do love the smell of the leaves - have you smelled them yet?
Nice gladiola! I planted some bulbs last year, but forgot about them. When I went to plant something else in tha spot about a month ago, I found some bulbs but didn't know what they were. Moved them to a different garden, and they are up about 4 inches now - yep - gladiolas! I don't have much luck with them, so I'm hoping these do well for a change.
I have yet to smell the pineapple, I do have a varigated pineapple sage tho that does have a pleasent smell from the leaves when I rub them,, But the one's that are blooming I don't smell anything yet

Diane it's so cool that your plants are so far ahead of most peoples....I'm a tad jealous. Everything looks so pretty!
I have that same lavender, 2 clumps on each side of my pond and it just smells heavenly each year.
I have about 25 glads planted thru the yard, few weeks ago went around and plant another 25. I just love gladiola's! I was eying up those "glaminis", you ever seen them? They are glad's, but mini ones that don't need staked up.....
Diane Sheri Beautiful flowers...... I never seen a pink glad...... I dont do them much the wind knocks them over.......Makes me mad. Well done ladys.......Love your style.
Loz I don't have any of the short glad's I've looked for them no where to be found around here,,, Don't be a tad jealous.. in july and august you will have more blooms and I will have more scorched flowers,,

[font:verdana]This is my first clematis bloom for this year. I don't remember which one it is, but it's very strange - this flower only has 6 petals, while in all the previous years they had 8.
Call it 6 short......Very nice .. Looks like a cross between Nellie moser and jackmanii.....
Yep it does Dodge,, I have a jack mandi that sometimes gets 4 petals and sometimes 6,, don't know what that is about but I still like it just the same. Very Pretty Lynne!!
Zinnia's are blooming
