Good Morning all,
Got up early today , Joe got up and went to work...and then finally Mom woke up... she is sleeping later now and that is nice but wish I could... we got her showered and dressed a while ago too... she is so funny- insists she is cold- have a heater in there going on high... I about suffocate it's so warm, then after we are done and she is out here reading she tells me it's hot in here---
Joseph is playing in his tournament games today and tomorrow.. they won yesterday and the night before, Carrie said he played really well- had it all together and did it all right- one of the games was delayed cause one of his teammates was knocked down and his head bounced twice off the floor.. he ended up with a concussion= - second in 3 days for him she said- I was suprised his folks let him play after one... I wouldn't have but that's me.. hopefully he will be okay... Carrie said every Mom in the gym gasped out loud when it happened, instant silence- and then they all went to him and his folks called an ambulance for him... haven't heard how is now - praying okay.
It's a nice sunny day here today - suppposed to be in the high 80's, if I can I am going to go out and plant some seeds and set out my stepping stone Carrie gave me for Mother's day.. it has stick figures of her boys- one tall and 3 more a each a little smaller than the next... and it says Nana's Bunch on it- putting it in my rose bed.
Well going to go take my bath and get myself busy for the day- really need to get some stuff done.
Nana

I'm back for a bit.

When Maxi came home this morning, I cooked him a nice breakfast and then we watched a movie together. It was okay but didn't make it to our "favorites" list! It is still gloomy outside, but since the rain has stopped, I let him ride his bike down the road to his friend's house. He doesn't have to be home til 5 PM, so I may not see him all afternoon if the weather holds!

I'm trying to get things done and get well-organized for next week because after my surgery on Tuesday, I'm not sure how much I'll feel like doing for a few days! I have a sneaky feeling Maxi and I might be eating take out on Tuesday and Wednesday!

I keep leaving the forum because we are in a weird storm pattern.

We get one or two claps of thunder and then it rains really hard for about 5 or 10 minutes. Then nothing. By the time I start shutting everything down, it stops!

Don't know how long this is going to last, but it sure is odd.

please send some rain my way! It seems like I'm watering every morning and night and it's only May! ground is cracked, and dust everywhere. we had a long day of errands, a movie, shopping, eating. the a/c has stopped working in the truck and it hit mid 90's. inside now in the a/c relaxing. I might go out to the porch in a bit and watch lightening bugs and look for bats. it's nice out now. gotta do a kid b-day thing tomorrow which doesn't start till noon and will be somewhat outdoors as well. send that rain quick! ha ha

I just put a pork tenderloin in the crock pot along with some BBQ sauce. I've always heard that is the best way to cook those things and I'm so hoping it turns out good!

And now that the coffee is finally on, I'm ready to get out of this chair for a while.

Good morning, everybody!

Today has been hectic already and it is only just after 9 AM. I hate when life falls apart so early! And of course it is my agency causing all the ruckus. I really can't stand it first thing in the morning!

Now my girl is off running a bunch of errands for me and I'm trying to get myself and my home in order because I don't know what I'll be feeling like after the surgery tomorrow.

Maxi got all of our laundry done over the weekend, so at least we don't have to worry about that! But I really do need to send someone to our storage unit and bring back his bin of summer clothes... I can't keep cutting his long pants down 'coz then he'll have no long pants! yikes

It's too cold here to worry about shorter pants, in fact the other night we were wearing our winter coats again.

Is your storage unit in your building Merme?

Unfortunately, the storage unit is in another town about 3 miles from here, Tam, so it is always an issue to find someone to run over for me.

I am wishing Maxi had a gizmo to attach a water bottle to his bike. He likes to go for long rides and usually ends up dragging a backpack along for his thermos. A holder for a water bottle would be ideal but I'm wondering if I should look at a place like Wal-Mart or a bike shop?

Yesterday he came in after a long ride with severe signs of dehydration. I made him drink up and then he took some Tylenol and laid down and went to sleep for an hour. I'd like to avoid that happening!

if it were me, I'd try walmart first. i would think they would be more reasonable there. I'd just watch what kind of bottle holder you get in regards to it's size and design. one of my son's bikes came with a water bottle holder and it's own bottle. the bottle that came with it was very cheap and soon broke, it was also oddly shapped. a regular water bottle wouldn't fit in the holder without falling out. and, we tried several different sizes, shapes, brands of water...nothing worked.

Good morning. Or afternoon to some. I haven't been on as much. I have been having internet connection issues. It is a verizon issue not my own, but it drives me bonkers. I can get connected but it doesn't stick around long.

'morning!

Going to be 85 here today, and then thunderstorms later and all day tomorrow.
Seems like another year that spring has passed us by - went right to the heat of summer!

I have more errands to run today, and then need to take Amy for a dr's appointment. What's on everyone else's list for the day?

like I said--(somewhere???)---I was so very good and this STILL happened to me--AGAIN----so I am going to clean until the next surgery----someone has to do it--I asked my girls for help, it didn't happen.heck--they have still to call & ask how I am doing--even val has not------

DH is willing to help, and I get tired of telling him how & when---I do still get him to take out the trash and clean his shower though.

sure when I am out I will pick up your groceries as well---give me the list. bow

morning all!
buying groceries and fixing things is about the only chores I ask hubby to do. and he does both very well. I think they purposely screw things up so you won't ask for thier help cleaning. ha ha
been out watering and raking this morning. about to go out and mow a patch and I'll be done with outside stuff. then back in to clean.
