Tamara and Loz!!!!!!!!! I found a bleeding heart Vine,, it can be grown inside or out side,,,, In the shade it will look lush and green and blooms well,, in full sun it will give even
more blooms.. however in my area dappled sun is best with no direct hot sun in the afternoon, In both shade and sun provide a trellis or something for it to climb on. Great for covering an arbor or old shed etc, cut it back in the
spring because it blooms off new growth,/ INside,, bright indirect light, good air circulation, use it as a hanging plant can get to 12 feet inside if conditions are right, but will still bloom for long periods,, rest from November to Feb,, and 'may' loose some leaves, cut off old brown runners. and fertilize with equal fertilizer, blooms very well inside,, has White hearts with red bloom protruding, some have pink blooms.
It's not the same plant as Bleeding hearts like you have this is in an entirely different plant.
Family: Verbenaceae (Verbena family)
Genus: Clerodendrum
Species: thomsoniae
This provide orange 'fruit that gives
seeds, and can 'start' off piece's taken from runner stems.
I'm going to start some pieces and make some hanging planters for inside,, Time to experiment,, this one is just now starting to bloom! Keeping my fingers crossed!!!!!
