Well today I finally got out there to harvest the Blush Pink Double Blossom Columbine from Wild Willies Mixed Columbine seeds. They are so pretty and so tall. I'll look forward to starting these this fall.

Have you harvested anything yet? What was it?

I'm new to collecting seeds. I used to just buy plants, but that gets too expensive when your flower beds and gardens get bigger each year. Yesterday, I noticed my rock rose had a few dried up seed pods. I collected them. gonna go ahead and plant some today or tomorrow and see if they come up. I just love new adventures with my plants.

Isn't it great? I love them too. This year and next is going to be planting specimens of all the seeds I have and seeing what comes up and what doesn't. So for the next however long I'll be seeing when I'm suppose to plant all the different seeds that I have. That should be fun right?

I've never hear of rock roses are they pretty?

Yes, I think they are very pretty. they grow very well here where I am. they are more bush like than viney. much easier to grow than regular roses. not so likely to get the diseases reg roses get. I posted a pic a while back in blooming fine. feeling lazy, or I'd go get that pic and repost.

that is a lot of different seeds Angel. You're going to have a good selection of seeds for the exchange lobby.

I hope to be able to catch the hosta when it sets seed. And I'd like to learn how to catch the celosia when it makes seeds. I've never done those two types before.

and the portulaca that self-seeded at the old place is doing great here so I hope to be able to collect a lot of seeds from them.
