ok I've got questions. And you all know how I am when I have questions lol. My lawn is 8,000 sq ft. And I've been told I need to weed and feed it about every seven weeks during the growing season. What kind of weed and feed is best and how much of it do I need? And what do I need to get to spread it? I hate spending all this money on a lawn I didn't even want in the first place lol. But this is home ownership. And until I get all the plants in I have to take care of what is there. I don't want to be the "Desperate Landscape" in my neighborhood.

And I understand I'll need to put Grass seed out this fall. Anyone have any suggestions of what kind for zone 6B. Drought tolerant please.

weed and feed has the amounts you need on the bag (dry) or bottle (liquid). I use a dry type and a hand crank spreader. It is easiest to remember to do it around holidays for me; Fourth of July, Labor Day,Thanksgiving, New Years, Easter, Memorial day. But I am a year round grower here. I am not familiar with eastern zone needs.
You do not want to get it on your garden plants. It kills off any broad leaf plants.

I'll be very careful. I just hope it doesn't roll down hill. Thanks for the information.
