A few daisies, blue bells, a couple of nice hostas . . .
They've already driven away the first big bin - there's another one there now, and the plants have gone.
I'm glad we rescued 'em . . . it's been a week - nothing's died. There's one big one that might do well by my clippers - doesn't wanna' stand up on its own.
You can't tell much by these pictures, I guess - this was a tall plant with big leaves and a spray of tiny white flowers at the top - it's the oddest thing I've seen.
Right now, it's a grand mess - since Jeff put it in last Friday the wind and rain has battered it.
When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant. Mary Ann LaPensee
Tina is right that it's not an evening primrose unless the yellow plant is - you have 2 plants there - the yellow is not blooming from the taller stalks - they are hydrangea stalks.
I'm not sure what the yellow flower is, but it is definitely a separate plant.
