I planted way too many watermelon and cateloupe seed. I've been giving seedlings away like crazy and still have a ton. for a family of four how many of each would you think I'd need to keep? I'm sure I'll be able to unload a few fruit here and there and want to also have plenty for us. i'll have to make a new garden patch, and where I plan to put them is pretty good soil already. zone 9.

I have four canaloupe plants right now and the biggest plant has 15+ flowers on it with some more buds. I'm not sure how many cantaloupes your family will consume, so I'll let you decide how many plants you should keep.
