Called my server 3 times today.. No help

My Outlook express wont send or receive any mail.
THe SENDING/RECIEVING BOX IS STUCK ON A MESSAGE WHICH WONT GO.
mY SERVER SAYS IT IS GONE.
Now what, it still is churning away and wont send or receive..
Any one know anything?

my email was down a couple days ago, but I use yahoo

I had a link go bad one time with my e-mail. if you use a desk top shortcut or one of those buttons on the bottom maybe it isn't going to the right place anymore? I ended up getting to it a different way then deleting the bad link.

My problem is ...........Out look keeps sending out a message for about 2 hours , and you cannot receive or send mail till it quits for a few minutes.

I have my provider so confused, we might both crack.
Still sendin it for a whole day..

with this Vista home premium, Dodge--I was having trouble with outlook express---so one of the girls set up "windows mail" for me--it was right here on the computer--I am using my same e-mail server, address & all and it works great!!!

well, if it's trying to send a message, check the drafts folder or sent folder and see if you can delete whatever it's stuck on.

If it's trying to download something on your provider's server, you'll likely have to login to their web interface and delete the message manually before being able to use your mail program.

First off...........Thank god.......I made it on my own.
THank you all for ideas and advice.

I deleted everything imaginable. Reset the computer to an earlier date. DIdnt help.

The stuck thing didnt show on going out there for I could not delete. It didnt show at my servers end at all.6 contacts to them.

I can talk to my server free of charge here and it stumped them.

However I got under Help in the Outlook express and figured out the some different settings .......DOnt know how to say it, but I am back in business.

God does it rack my brain..........eek.

Thanks again. I am xp only......dial up . And will keep all the hints here in mind. What nite..I went to bed and forgot to shut off the tv......Hd was watchng.

those deep settings are perplexing to the brain.

Correct........Now we find out that happiness isnt just a warm puppy.............It is also a fixed computer.....
