In most cases insecticides are universal as far as what types of plants you can spray with them. The only thing that would be different would be what you would use to spray crop type plants, or plants that bear a fruit or
seed that you would eat. You would have to make sure that the insecticide was safe for human consumption or did not have a residual effect. The same pretty much goes for fungicides as well.
