Hi All -
This is my first post and I am looking for information. My Mom passed away 7 mths ago and I am taking care of the cemetery plot. My Gram and Gramp are next to her and they all have low stones. I am planning on connecting all three with edging and mulch with Day lillies in between each headstone. Now my question is since they are low stones I do not want large plants in front of them - are there perennials that stay low (say 5-6 inches in height)? I want to plant perennials so they will come back each year (never know if I pass away - nobody will continue to take care of it)......any suggestions? Thank you in advance!

Hi and welcome Abbymax.

Sorry on the loss of your mom kissie

You could plant a low 'creeping phlox' that would bloom in spring and some 'Maiden Pinks' that would bloom in summer....they are only 4 to 6 inches in height with beautiful flowers and will spread as well.

~~Tam~ You can bury all your troubles by digging in the dirt.

Hi - thanks for the welcome and the condolences.....I will check those out - they sound like a great idea - I like that they will spread....I am happy I came across this site - maybe I will actually learn how to take care of my gardens.

Thanks Again
