I'm not in a coastal county, so we should be fine. this storm is only a catagory 2 but since it is SO huge in diameter the storm surge is expected to reach 18-20 feet. galveston will be a mess! I pray everyone got out. it will also be a long storm to ride out since it is so big (in diameter) luckily the worst of it will come through during the night and the kidos should sleep through the brunt of it. I'm so dissapointed in the media. they have been running Ike on almost every channel nonstop since yesterday morning. they have people SO freaked out. I'm afraid some of lousianna will also be affected by the storm surge. don't worry if you don't hear from me for a week or so, power outages could be very wide spread. don't think I've blown away, I'll just be sitting here in the dark sweating my patootie off! ha ha......(drinking beer and bbqing) he he.

I love Regis and Kelly. I wish I was home more to watch it but when I am home on weekday mornings I always watch it! I guess I could record but I already record too many shows.
I can't do wine....makes me too (you know) and a nap would be the last thing I would be thinking about then
I mowed yesterday and took some stuff back to wal-mart then shopped for ashley some long legged pants for school, got her some really cute set then came in and washed clothes all day and ironed then picked ashley up at school then cooked dinner and hemmed a pair of her new pants for school

I know and I hate to do it, but I used the money on Ashley some school clothes. I usually make her some short sets to start in and then buy some long pants later after it starts to cool, got a good deal, everythign was 5 bucks

I was looking yesterday at the damage of Ike in Galveston and I never realized it was so bad. I don't really see much about it now. Houses that were just stripped down to concrete pads....stilts left with no homes on them. So sad.
