remember, we are bringing you the three we sent you the codes to.
on a sad note. i had a setback today and we won't leave the house as early as planned. we still leave tomorrow, and still see sheri, but i've got to see the dr before we can leave. the earliest he could get me in was 10 am.
nah, not nosy. just lingering effects of the allergic reaction from a few weeks ago. so i want to touch base before i get too far from home. that and we've been tweaking my meds, and i think i need another minor tweak. again, don't want to be too far from my dr unless we are on the same page.
ah! that reminds me, Jiffy. Do you do any of the artificial sweeteners??? I use Splenda in our tea, but if you cannot have it, I will not sweeten it at all or will use regular sugar....let me know, OK? I make tea pretty much every day because we go through it quite a bit. ...and Stephen got Sam Adams to share also.
Jenn, I know there is at least one artificial sweetener that nearly puts her in the hospital. But I don't remember which one. Be safe and sweeten at the table at first.

I was pretty sure she didn't use any of the artificial sweeteners. I cannot use any of them except for Splenda, but I was thinking she doesn't even use that one. No worries...I'll probably have made another 5 gallons of tea before she even gets here.
She doesn't use sugar.....something in a packet....pink maybe? I think it is Splenda........I was going to make my tea unsweetened so she can sweeten it herself.
Well, when I come visit all of you, I'm easy. I drink my tea and my coffee unsweetened. And mostly coffee right now. I had tea the last time I had flu and haven't much wanted any since.

Hmm....gonna have to let her answer this one, I think. Pink is Sweet and Low and that is sacharine (I thought that was a really bad one...it is for me anyways) and Splenda comes in yellow.

I am a weight watchers lifer --so I would know----

She should be at her Dr's appointment now. I am hoping everything works out well there and she is healthy and on the road soon. Prayers are going for a safe trip and happy landings.

I spoke to Jiffy about 4pm, or so, central time. She was on the road and had left about 45 minutes before. So our Jiffy (and Scott) have begun their trip.
I wish her a safe and happy trip.

And I just got an email from her phone. They are looking for a place to stay. The side trip to see Sheri has been moved to the homeward trip for some reason.

My guess is they got started ALOT later than they wanted to and don't want to totally rush through a visit with Sheri. They'll probably be able to spend more time with her on their way back home.
What happened is that we were going to meet at my moms since it's off 77. My mom lives about 1-1/2 hour from me. My mom had cooked dinner and I left work a little early to be there at 2:30 - 3:00. I had picked up my grans from school early since I post their picture all the time and thought it would be fun for Jiffy to meet them. My daughter was on jury duty. Jiffy and been to the doctor, to the pharmacy and then home to rest for a while and I didn't realize her plans had changed until about 2:15, after picking up Darbi and Colby. Johnny left work early to meet us there. Jiffy told me at that time that she wouldn't be at my mom's until between 7 & 8. I tried to call my daughter to see if I could drop Darbi and Colby somewhere because I knew they couldn't be home too late due to school tomorrow but she had her phone off (I thought - later found out it was left at home). So, anyway we all went to my mothers. Johnny had dropped our dog, ToDeTa, off with his ex wife, Cissy, who takes care of her sometimes. Around 5:30 Cissy started calling Johnny saying she had a chance to go somewhere and she wanted him to pick up the dog. Johnny tried to explain the situation but she was furious for some reason. Sometimes I think she fights with her boyfriend or daughter and takes it out on us. Colby had started throwing up on the way to mothers. He has a lot of allergies and started having breathing problems so we ended up taking him to the ER. Johnny eventually left to go get the dog so Cissy would calm down. My daughter, Shelley, came to the ER to get Colby and me. By that time is was around 8:15 and I was on the way to Monroe with Shelley and Colby. Jiffy called and said they were about 45 minutes from Charlotte. It would have taken quite a while for me to get home and get back to Charlotte or for them to get to Monroe. I have to leave for Greensboro, NC tomorrow at 5:10 AM and Johnny has to leave for Spencer Mountain at the same time so I asked if I could see them on the way back. I can get to Florence, SC in about an hour and 45 minutes but I'm going to beg them to come to my house and spend the night. It was just a series of circumstances.
Yes that is a series. Jiffy did say it was a long story. But health issues do come first, Jiffy's and Colby's. I feel sorry for your mother cooking for a crowd. Sounds like a nice mother to have. I hope the return trip works out better for all of you. I do know Jiffy was looking forward to seeing you.

I'm guessing she won't be here later tonight. I think it's 7 hours and some from Charlotte to my house....so mapquest says. Plus they're stopping to see Tammy so it'll be late when they get here. Late and cold.
